Another vote for Ashley Hoskin away at Swansea. Best goal I've ever seen live.

Ing's scuffed winner at Ewood, ended decades of hurt and kick started years of Claret dominance over them!!

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Some memorable goals mentioned on here but think it has to be Robbie Blake’s v Man United for me.
It’s the opposition, the first home game in PL, the ground was absolutely bouncing that evening….and on top of all that it was one a proper fans favourite who scored.
I think we have scored better goals but it’s all the other ingredients for me.
Not sure the Barnes cracker away at Spurs been mentioned - that was a brilliant strike.
Detour’s free kick at United was special too - into one of the best keepers in the world at that time and he was nowhere near it !!

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Can’t really be described as the best goal but a very bizarre one from the tiny John Price. I do not remember the opponents but I think this was the second goal in a 2 0 win.
The pitch was incredibly muddy and Burnley were defending, Price cleared the ball by kicking it as hard as he could. It travelled about 20 yards before sticking in the mud, Price chased after it and got there just before an opponent, again he kicked it as hard as he could and the process was repeated. This happened a few more times before only the goalkeeper remained, he charged out to deal with the ball but again it got stuck and Price beat him to it and hit the ball goalwards, once more the ball stuck but Johnny was not to be denied and he chased after the ball and thumped it home. Not a lot of skill involved but unbelievable determination which summed John Price up!

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Some wonderful selections but far too many to pick one, for me. They all have their moment in time.
Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Ally Pickering v Stoke away 1999. I think Stoke fans voted it best ever goal scored at the Britannia Stadium a few years back.
Re: Best ever Burnley goal
Super Glen vs Bristol Rovers is always the one that comes to mind first. A great goal at a crucial game. He was an absolute genius at times. His goals at Birmingham and Bradford stick in the mind too. Brilliant stuff.
In more modern times, Defour vs Hull and / or Bristol City. Both incredible goals of the highest quality.

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
JayRod's equaliser against Spurs in the semi final 2nd leg to bring it back to 4-4 in the 88th minute.
A very scruffy goal but the sheer elation of the Burnley fans and players and pure bewilderment of the Spurs players was something to behold.
I will never forget the confusion of everyone around us trying to work out if it was extra time or had we won it on away goals
Obviously we know now that we had extra time and literally ran out of steam.
But that goal and the sheer noise it created, I for one will never ever forget.
Also scored by a young Burnley lad who'd only been on the pitch a matter of minutes, definitely the stuff dreams are made of.
It was a brilliant moment in what turned out to be a magnificent season.

Easy this one, Stephen Defour v Bristol City.
Great goals are those most players could not technically do but the best goals are those most players could not even think of....!

Re: Best ever Burnley goal
My dad used to enthuse about the Tommy Cummings goal, already previously mentioned. For me I would pick Ralph Coates goal in the FA cup match, 1970, at Turf Moor.
