Does highlight that Turf Moor could do with an additional 5000 capacity

We would very rarely need it outside of the Premier League

Wrexham will fill that 55,000 capacity stadium even in the North Wales D3.

I went past it taking the dog for walk at Rivington and there looked to be a fair few Wrexham fans knocking about as well....

I remember chucking a couple of quid in a bucket back in the day to help Wrexham stay afloat. Good to see them thriving

Still remember the following Wrexham brought to the Turf for that cup tie in the 70s.
Admit to being surprised.

There’d be approx 7k+ empty seats every week if we did that.

Seen 3800 quoted on twitter. Seeing this fixture it got me thinking when would they have last met in a league fixture. 36 years ago, 1987/88 season when Bolton had one season in Division 4.

Was there an attendance of 52,000 against Everton in the late 50's / early 60's?

Its a bit negative is that. Our support could very well increase as the population of the area increases, as its going to do.

You think people moving to the area will not already have a team and will think to themselves, "I've never liked football, but I like this lot so I'll go and support them."?

More likely that we will see more 'foreign' shirts such as Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc. around the town

Realistically - if we end up back in the prem with 5k extra seats … we would just give the cricket field back as we would mainly sell it all out I imagine …

Then we don’t need so many extra home fans

We can’t sell out v Liverpool or Manure, or any of the other big clubs in the PL, I can’t really understand why anyone would think that increasing our ground capacity would increase our home attendance. We just don’t have the support, and that’s not being negative - we are superbly supported when you see what percentage of the locals attend, but there’s a limit, and we are at that limit. We can’t and shouldn’t develop the ground in the hope that people will breed or that somehow 10,000 new footy fans move in.

If tickets were more sensibly priced, attendances would increase.... my mate paid £55 for a seat in the Longside Upper on Saturday and £28 for his youngster...ridiculous

Post Orient,,,I reckon those 35 years have been way more interesting and emotional than watching one of the "elite" clubs

We can't sell out in the premier, we don't need more seats.

Opportunities to get back to Turf are rare for me these days but not sure I could sit comfortably and enjoy it at those prices. That said, I don't expect many empty home seats when holiday season is over if we keep winning.
