Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
Just checked the lineup (missed it) our bench is utter utter shite. Wtf is going on?
Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
If some signings of real quality are not brought in, before the window closes, I’ll be starting to have some serious longer term concerns for our club.

With no ball playing midfielder in the side we have very little in the middle of the park to dictate things. Brownhill and Massengo are the same type of player.

Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
Losing at half time at Sunderland on the back of a really bad performance. Where have I heard that one before?
It's troublesome that this is literally it for centre midfield today because they're not doing the business. Get Amdouni on for one of the forwards if he's available to play and have a go at them.

You’re absolutely right - but I somehow think Alan Pace has been begging clubs to bid for our players and then begging those players to leave as opposed to trying to keep them here.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 3:52 pmAs bad a 45 mins I've seen for a long time. I'm furious, but not at the team.
The idea you have to get rid of everyone who wants a move is ridiculous. Ronaldo wanted to leave Man United, Ferguson said "give me one more year". It's not black and white, the players signed a contract, are professionals and humans...they can be persuaded. You saw how happy they all looked on tour and against Luton.

Time to get all 3 keepers on to shake things up a bit. How the hell do we go from around what seemed to be 10 wingers to none available. Jay Rod up top is just awful it looks like he’s crapped is self when he’s trying to run sorry jog.

It's also not fair on Egan-Riley who, to the best of my knowledge, has never played CB before? He's a DM and occasional right back.
Get Humphries on at centre half and Amdouni on.

Another week yet. It will get worse.Les latcham fan club wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 3:53 pmIs the club up for sale yet? or have ALK a few more to sell? Koleosho, Foster and Brownhill might give them a bit more money to take with them.

Just hope Cullen and koleosho are genuinely injured and are not being sold

There is only Amdouni and he’s likely off so will play like he doesn’t want to get injuredWazzaClaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 3:48 pmAs bad as we've been it's only 1-0 against a properly decent team. Some changes at half time AMDOUNI and we could turn the screw a bit in the second half.
And that’s how Vitinho is playing, Brownhill maybe too

Interesting half time stats……..we’ve had 59% possession. They’ve had 7 shots but just 1 on target………they’ve had one corner. So not a battering…………….lets see in part 2!
Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
I watched a video of the new guy and while its disrespectful to call any one a donkey. He dident look like a footballer. Very low standard.

Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
I remember being called out for saying Parker has his teams play like the worst of Southgate's England. Seen that today and for most of the game against Cardiff, right down to Foster playing the part of Kane there by dropping into left back to get the ball as we slowly pass it side to side across the back line, whilst losing.
We were great against Luton, using Rodriguez in the role that Odobert played is where it's going wrong - doesn't have the pace for it.

JGB and Zaroury walk in to this team today. After seeing that half my bed is getting a little wetter.

Take off the new guy on the left. Move Jay wide and bring on Amdouni. Feel sorry for Brownhill. Doing his best but looks totally lost.

If that's the case we really are screwed, imagine how awful that is for morale in the group. I hope you're wrong on this one!jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 3:57 pmYou’re absolutely right - but I somehow think Alan Pace has been begging clubs to bid for our players and then begging those players to leave as opposed to trying to keep them here.

I can’t believe some of the comments re:E-R, on here. He played one poor pass into midfield otherwise he's done very little wrong. He wasn’t at fault for any of their many chances, nearly all of them came from out wide.

interesting Brownhill chatting to a Sunderland player there. Pure speculation, but I wouldn't be suprised if the Sunderland player asked him where the hell all our best players are.

We are not playing well and Sunderland were much better, but I think a battering is a bit OTT

Re: Clarets vs Sunderland
Some right drama queens on here. Despite the cobbled together XI we've generally kept the ball well against an energetic press and restricted them to only a couple of clear-cut chances. Just need a better outlet in the second 45 and we can easily nick something.

With our bench SP can’t make early subs in case we get an injury. 70mins at the earliest.

Hearing a few rumours and been sent a message about the academy director being sacked this week . Apparently there’s a few things behind the scenes that don’t sound pretty
