This feels like game 3 of the promotion season, Watford away. Hadn’t yet signed all our players, beaten. The difference being we are on y points not 4. We then went on to draw the next 2 home games too.

A lot can happen in 7 days. Let’s see where we are after Rovers when the window shuts.

Abiding thought though, we only need players here who want to be here. I’d be tempted to stick one or two on gardening leave for 3 years, but I accept that isn't financially optimal, it’d just cheer me up.

This starting eleven would be in a relegation battle. I really hope we can make major changes for the next two games.
Sunderland will be top 2 or top 6. Leeds will clearly finish top.
But it's not a relegation starting 11. I'd put this as 6th/7th.

I THINK Fosters has just been booked again for complaining about a challenge where the tackler was booked. 2 in 2, if correct.

Unnecessary booking Foster.
Got to get a grip on that weak discipline. That's 2cin the book for nothing.

Forwards are not getting near anything that gets into Sunderland's half.

Need to mix it up playing out from the back, we aren't doing it well at all. Only a matter of time if that continues.

If we take Jay Rod off and pick a fan from the stands, atleast we'll start the second half 11v11.
Careful, I offended the masses and got in bother earlier this week for daring to suggest that Jay-Rod was (well) past it at even this level.

Not gonna happen, but in pure champ manager fashion I'd do something like this.

Humphreys, Sambo, McNally and Amdouni on for Egan Riley, Rodriguez, Roberts and Houtondji. Move to 541 (5221)

Mcnally, Esteve, Humphreys CBs
Pires LWB
Sambo RWB

Massengo, Brownhill DCM
Vitinho Amdouni ACM (either side of the 2 CMs)
Foster ST

Let's be honest, getting promoted without any self-inflicted drama isn't the Burnley way. 2022/3 was an aberration.
