Ref a disgrace. Adds only 4 mins after all the subs, treatments and time-wasting. As 90mins passes Sunderland are subbing Roberts followed by a booking. He then blows up immediately at 4 mins.

The thing that has disappointed me the most isn't us playing badly but the lack of our game management. Complete naivety. Games like today are when you need your new guys to step up but none of them looked good enough.

I think that's why we haven't seen much of Massengo and Egan-Riley to date.

Credit has to go to Sunderland who showed far more nous and played some great football.

I think what this team really needs is to sell another one of its semi decent footballers. That’ll really improve things.

Well, the last few weeks have just proved that a poor Premier League side is better than the average Championship side, but I think we all knew that after last season.
We need to clear out those who can't/don't want to contribute and bring in a few players who will improve the starting eleven or we will be the latter.

Not been at the game but followed this post carefully. Everyone at the club is talking it up about promotion, so how the hell have we let it happen that we put out a team as weak as this, and we let some dictate to us whether they want to play or not. There is no excuse Mr Pace. Lets hope we have some targets scheduled otherwise I will genuinely lose faith about promotion. Who would have thought we would feature Jay in CM and McNally up front

Welcome to the world of American business. Our club is simply a vehicle to make money for the owners and NOTHING else as proved by the total lack of information given to the supporters. Today was nauseating. I feel sorry for Parker. He will no doubt be the scapegoat

The familiar feeling from last season returned today. Absolutely nowhere near the game. Midfield non existent , no wing play. And throwing a centre half up front in desperation , miles off it

Luckily though, according to some on here, we're already in the Premier League next season.

In reality, with all the outgoings, without a good week of 2/3 decent incomings, I doubt we'll even be close to a promotion push. Midfield at the very least needs significant improvement

Well, we were awful against a favoured team away from home.

And we still only lost by a single goal.

We might be OK. Definitely need a few injured players to return along with strengthening CM, CF and both wings. 3 or 4 players short.

I wonder if there will be an explanation as to why Koleosho, O'Shea, Cullen, Benson weren't involved? Probably not as the club ownership/ management to fan relationship is now very weak. No heroes and not much connection.

We paid 4m quid for that lump, apparently.

We’d have been better off chucking someone in from Burnley Belvedere and giving £4m to Pendleside Hospice.

Disgraceful performance.

Perhaps, and this is just a theory, you can’t trade players like you can trade stock on Wall Street, and build a functioning team.

I really hope that this performance (not result) causes a bit of a rethink of the board’s business decisions over the next week, although perhaps it’s too late.

The future looks very bleak if this is what we have to look forward to, the commodities ( used to be called players) looked hapless, gutless, no passion, organization or semblance of anyone wanting to put a shift in, Pace has sold the family silver and left us with nothing but copper pipe, a top half finish will be the best this bunch will achieve unless we get an injection of quality not the donkeys we looked to have purchased although Sambo at least showed some desire.

Only positive for me regarding the new lot was Egan-Riley. If people are complaining about his passing at times then please rewatch Conner Roberts' game, esp the 1st half, that was embarassing! Esteve and Trafford also looked as solid as they could be behind a non-existent midfield.

Edit: The rest of them were a disgrace.

Come on! You've played the game.

You have games where nothing works against a better team who are more up for it.
A number of players injured. Cullen and LK being major cogs in the mahine.

We were poor and looked like a side who didn't know how to win along with not knowing where each other played. Agree hole heartedly with the lack of outball and direction.

A bit far fetched to be disgusted. It's football. You'll have had bad days, bad games. We all have. We lost 1-0. It was poor. SP had a stacked deck against him.

After that anyone who doesn’t want to be here can go for me. Always been a Vitinho fan but his attitude and body language were a joke. Brownhill looked like he may have had his head turned, way off it. You have never and will never be bigger than Burnley football club.
