MTB2 spoke about poor atmosphere but in reality we knew the performances were ineffective. We've been admirably patient through last season and Vinny's ego led nonsense. Very little booing or derision at the ground. Patient support of Vinny and a acceptance of the relegation. Think the majority have been quite patient with the sales over the past week and pointing out positives for those brought in. However, that bench was a disgrace and I'm unconvinced by the illness and knock narratives given Berge, Anass et al had similar media. Next week is all or nothing for the board.

Irrelevant to the point.
I doubt our finances will ever allow us to buy an entire PL squad now, or any time soon.
We had a premier league squad when ALK took over

We’ve been taken to the cleaners, as I’ve already said. They bought the club with our money and will be clearing off at the first opportunity leaving us in probably a worse state than Blackburn.

Didn't we get relegated with that squad?
And for some time we had a squad almost totally reliant on about 13 players

The next week is going to paint the picture much more clearly than it is tonight.

If we go and sign some talent and really add to the squad then fair enough. If we are left short and struggling on the pitch then it’s clear as day . There really are no excuses tk be left short this season gifeb what we had/have.

Stop talking Hogwash. This is a business and the directors care, but we can't fall foul of financial fair play rules, as others have stated with inside knowledge, we had to sell £100m of players.

It is as simple as that really yes we probably do win the game if benson and zaroury are playing.

However zaroury apparently refused to play last week because he had a move and even though it seemed in pre season Parker was trying to give benson confidence. If they are both adamant they don’t want to be at the club then it’s right they are moved on
The point is that they haven’t been replaced. If we had two wingers, any two wingers, of decent quality, we win that game. The fact is we didn’t. And even though our squad is so bloated apparently, we had absolutely zero attacking threat today. Full backs on the wing, centre halves coming on up front…… It was an absolute shambles.

Lol. It's totally normal for a Championship club to have to sell £100m worth of players in one transfer window just to stay on the right side of the rules.

We've been mismanaged by a charlatan and now we're paying a very heavy price.

It’s not fifa, it’s not as simple to just sign players, we all want replacements and so will the club but more to it than just sign a replacement

🚨 Trabzonspor made a new offer to Burnley for Josh Brownhill.

◽️ It was learned that this offer was at a more acceptable level than the first offer.

What does that even mean? I didn’t say it was easy. Buts it’s necessary and the fact we have now been left so short is negligence. We could all see this coming - why couldn’t the club? They’ve seemingly found it easy enough to sign some centre halves even though “it’s not fifa”.

We have absolutely no money . We (BFC) are riddled in debt . They (ALK) have been playing with the clubs money and not their own.

Have they realised that the game is actually harder than they expected? Or has their strategy fallen flat on its face? Or, have they seen their asses, decided to make as much profit on the player trading as possible and decided to run whilst they can?

We sold zaroury and JBG and we still had Vitinho benson koleosho available in wide areas, for all we know koleosho went down injured Friday and then benson turned around and said he doesn’t think he doesn’t want to be in the squad because he wants to leave, nothing we can do.

It’s a lot easy to sign worrall and Humphreys who clearly had no future this season at their previous clubs, you can plan those signings.

If you want wingers to replace the quality we have it’s not as simple to just sign them and get them ready, other clubs have to want to sell

Desperate for forward players - centre forwards, no 10, wingers and a centre mid.

The irony is, I reckon we’d have won with Benson and Zaroury on the wings today.

Every day feels like a punch in the guts at the moment being a Burnley fan. Massive week ahead. Surely we are going to spend some of this money we have brought in…..
We need a latter day equivalent of the Andre Gray/Joey Barton signings as an absolute minimum (plus the rest)

Think we need a midfielder, x 2 wingers and a striker who can score goals in the next few days.
I don't want to see Jay Rod ever start a game again.

What you’re saying doesn’t really make much sense.

The Benson situation hasn’t happened just this week. Vitinho is an average championship full back. Koleosho is a raw 19 year old kid who cannot be relied on every single week.

Why could we not plan winger signings like the centre half signings? Why were these easier? Do we not have money to make deals happen given the amount of outgoing players/incoming funds? Do we not have a recruitment team that have planned for every eventuality in every position so that we are ready to push the button on certain things if required?

I’m not saying it’s easy but we should have been far better prepared for what we KNEW was going to happen.

It’s poor planning and poor recruitment. It’s very simple.

Pace needs to come from behind the sofa and explain himself if we go on and sell the rest of them off. Not sure wether they will or not but BFC means a bell of a lot to a bell of a lot of people. Our club is not a toy to be played with

Well, noone forced us to sell Zaroury, or JBG before the window closed and particularly with JBG, who signed for this manager, it would have been reasonable to say we'd allow him out once a replacement was in.

Benson has happened this week, he was in the squad last week and now this week has decided he doesn’t want to be
The Benson situation has been building up for a long time but has come to a head this week. Surely you’re not naive to think otherwise.

Well, noone forced us to sell Zaroury, or JBG before the window closed and particularly with JBG, who signed for this manager, it would have been reasonable to say we'd allow him out once a replacement was in.
So you would keep a player who refused to play in zaroury and for all we know JBG didn’t want to wait for his move to Saudi

Agree. Not sure there’s any point in Egan. I’d rather see those wages go on another striker.

It’s not about being naive but we might well of been trying to replace benson already and we haven’t been able to sort deals out as quickly as we have with worrall and Humphreys and then Parker has spoken to benson and benson has decided he can’t be selected then suddenly koleosho is ‘injured’

Not sure about anyone else but I'm ******* furious
I'm beyond furious here Vegas.

I thought we had that 'one club mentality' and 'feel good factor' back after the opening two games. The scenes at the final whistle of those games are a far cry from what we saw today.

I think if there is anyone in the boardroom worth their salt they will know they need to act quickly to turn the mood, of the manager, squad and the supporters or this could turn from a season of promise to a very difficult twelve months on and off the field. There needs to be a clear marquee or two statements of intent and quickly. This time next week he could be seeing a side to Burnley he has never witnessed… he will struggle to get investors in then.

yep, it's really sad. For the most part people were so tolerant of the garbage last season and I suspect a lot of that was because we usually enjoy the Championship. Pace has a week to fix it or there is no doubt whatsoever that people will turn on him.

Do we have money issues?

It appears every player is for sale
1- Yes

2- Pretty much.

Multiple posters with connections close to the club (Not me) have mentioned being told that we need over 100m in players sales. The Posters on the Money Tree thread having been warning about the very high amount of loans we have, and the high interest rates on them.

It seems VK was given license to borrow way beyond our means, and imo beyond a reasonable interpretation of "the model"
