Not really because when you have covered all reasons somewhere within that list it's there in black & white. It's not rocket science to deduce that the club is in debt & want to lighten the wage budget & claw some money back in sales & I'd also guess the players (some) aren't adverse to moving on. It's win win for the club & the players unfortunately for the fans it's different.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 12:02 amAnd other possible reasons were added by myself and Bill, but they're conjecture too.
It's a FIRE SALE.

Re: It's a FIRE SALE.
It's not the club said they were going to sell 6 or so senior players good enough for the PL? The auditors put a warning on the accounts, which said as much.
Why do you call yourself Fidel Castro?

I don't really understand your post. Are you saying the club have stated that they have to sell at least 6 players good enough for the Premier League? Where have you seen the accounts?ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:08 amIt's not the club said they were going to sell 6 or so senior players good enough for the PL? As for your last question, it's a nickname/username. No big deal.

No deduction required - the following are facts covered in our finances released earlier this year:Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 10:44 amNot really because when you have covered all reasons somewhere within that list it's there in black & white. 1. The club is in debt.
2. The club does need to lighten the wage bill.
3. The club does need to raise funds because of point 1&2 and general operating costs.
What is conjecture surrounds the players.
Some will want to move on for financial reasons (they will be on relegation salary reduction clauses). Some will want to play at a higher level. Some will have been told they don’t figure in the managers plans and some will have been promised they could go (a la Weghorst).
What some fans seem to be struggling with is the concept that loyalty to the fans plays a major part in any of the above.
There is no ‘fire sale’ or ‘asset stripping’ because it’s counter productive to the value of the club which they would need to eventually sell.
You wouldn’t sell the doors to your car to raise extra funds just before you were about to PX it.

The reasons for our transfer dealings is blatantly obvious.
Re: It's a FIRE SALE.
Got to trim to 25 by Sunday. We only have 1 under 21 I think, that doesn't count. I estimate we need to offload 4 more or not register certain players like red redmond or any other long term injured. It's football in the modern world, just a business.

No, the club said 6 or so players felt they were good enough for the PL and were likely to be sold.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:16 amI don't really understand your post. The last set of accounts had an Auditors warning on it.
There is a million plus post thread detailing all this....!

The club never said this.ClaretPete001 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:08 amIt's not the club said they were going to sell 6 or so senior players good enough for the PL? The auditors put a warning on the accounts, which said as much.

I wonder if that means Ramsey may end up not registered?

Re: It's a FIRE SALE.
When you have covered EVERY single possibility & reason that exists without leaving anything out what remains is there. Unless we are exploring some possibility that a player bought a hamster or another pet at a place in their childhood & have developed a strong affinity towards that place & want to move back there or another obscure remote reason. It's not a fire sale because nobody's going on the cheap that much I can & will agree on.Darthlaw wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:16 amNo deduction required - the following are facts covered in our finances released earlier this year:

Re: It's a FIRE SALE.
I'll have to try and find it. There were pieces at the end of the season quoting Alan Pace.
But the auditors said it was likely to happen as did most intelligent people. It happened last time we went down so it's not a contraversial statement nor one that would elicit much surprise.
I think most on here expected it.
