Wolves in advanced talks to sign £2.6m Championship starlet Birmingham World
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
One thing i took from Parkers comments on players not wanting to be here so they are not playing, is that Amdouni does want to be here and is not demanding a move.
Surely if he was, he wouldn't have featured yesterday?
Same with Trafford, if he doesn't want to be here, would he have been played?

Or his transfer isn’t as far along as say Weghorst and Benson

Birmingham were very keen to take the player back on loan where he excelled last season.
However, Silva quashed those plans stating that Stansfield would not be going out on loan this season and was very much part of his first team plans.

I've already said we could sign home-grown players and more players are clearly leaving.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:09 pmThat’s got nothing to do with what you said, you said we need 7 players but we don’t have 7 spaces in the squad unless more leave

Not knocking Parker but he's just given a convenient answer to an awkward question. Players like Weghorst and Zaroury didn't want to be here when they were on the bench either.Raconteur wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:13 pmOne thing i took from Parkers comments on players not wanting to be here so they are not playing, is that Amdouni does want to be here and is not demanding a move.

How many players that featured in our first 2 victories have left the building?
If the price is right they’re off it seems recent appearances or not.

Tbf Trafford didn’t look like he wanted to be there yesterday along with several others.

I was at Sunderland yesterday.
You obviously saw things I didn’t. What did Trafford do to warrant this accusation?

Ah, so it's not 25 plus home-grown players? Then my mistake there. You are right.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:19 pmHome grown players doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of spaces in the squad we have
We still need 7 new players, so it means selling fringe players.

Trafford is playing in a pretty transparent attempt to keep him in the shop window.
It's pretty obvious now that the alleged Newcastle/Chelsea interest was exaggerated.
He's clearly not fancied by the big boys.

I saw the name of Billing mentioned on here who is not in Bournemouth squad today but came on as a late sub in the first game of the season.
He may be off somewhere if not to us.

What other fringe players other than McNally and al-dakhil that we know about do you suggest selling. We have already sold them. Just happens to be that we have 6 players injured who haven’t featured yet in Beyer Delcroix Ekdal Ramsey Redmond and Tresorclaretskeith wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:23 pmAh, so it's not 25 plus home-grown players? Always rated him, thought we should have gone for him when at Huddersfield. Can't see us paying the money/wages though.kentonclaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:25 pmI saw the name of Billing mentioned on here who is not in Bournemouth squad today but came on as a late sub in the first game of the season.

No, but Houtondji is being linked with a swap deal for Sam Vokes.

I'm surprised I am saying this, but I think Trafford has been fine in the two games he has played.
He looks to have bulked up a bit from last season.

Plenty of reasons to still be positive. (Admittedly, 4 of those have been linked with a move away).

It is, but that is contingent upon Koleosho, Brownhill and Amdouni all staying. There are big questions on that being the casePassing Clouds wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:13 pmI’m a sucker for punishment I know but a starting XI of…

Fine until your final sentence which rather sums everything up right now!! Maybe once the window closes Parker can actually make some proper plans, settle on a team and tbf he should have enough quality players to make a decent one. However, it'll certainly test his managerial credentials that's for sure!JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:58 pmThat is an excellent side when up and running and in stride if fit.

All of this talk of players wanting to leave, how much of it do you put down to the WhatsApp message?
Did this trigger the mass exodus?

It’s systemic.burnley007 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 3:20 pmAll of this talk of players wanting to leave, how much of it do you put down to the WhatsApp message?

A squad of 40 odd players will always result in turbulent times. Scholes and Carragher explained it perfectly when talking about Chelsea the other day.
They said in a good squad you have 7 players that know 100% there starting every game. 8 players fighting it out for the other 4 places and then 8-10 players that know they are squad players. Thats how you get a nice balance. They then went on to say that the 20 additional players in the squad will be restless and could get toxic very very quickly.
I suspect that’s exactly what’s happened here. We have far too many players that had no chance of playing for us and everything has gone toxic. The decentish players are jumping ship (like they do any workplace).

Why would first team players give a **** about what some
no-mark academy manager with ideas above his station thought of them?

Because this was a message meant for an external third party by a club official, so will interpret that as the offical club view.
