I have seen him play down here at Leicester a few times, when Vardy was injured in last years Championship. He did score a few goals, but never struck me as a player who would cause defences a problem. I feel he would come in to replace someone like Obefemi in the squad but not a starter in the team.

Is it any wonder players want to leave?
Also does digging out players still here serve any useful purpose. If players aren't sure about what their future holds,
they might be hoping that fans might actually get behind them, in a gesture of solidarity, you know, like we're all in this together.
A lot of people on here were saying they wanted to see Massengo given some game time, but because he didn't have a great game (not on his own there) he has only had negative comments with no-one defending him. Same with Brownhill. This is when we should be getting behind players even more than usual, or at least not slagging them off.

There's one thing for sure, if this negativity (a lot of it justified) continues into Saturday at the ground, then there's only one team that benefits from it and it's not Burnley.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 6:04 pmIs it any wonder players want to leave?

It’s the chicken and egg situation ,are we saying that the fans need to get behind the players to get them to put some effort in or are we saying the players need to put the effort in to get the fans to get behind them. After the fans paid their dues to go and watch them yesterday I think the fans are doing their bit and the gate against Cardiff was nearly a sell out so yet again the fans are doing their bit.If the players are daft enough to come on this forum and are upset about the comments then happen we have bought a load of Kyle Laffertys.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 6:04 pmIs it any wonder players want to leave?

What a ridiculous reply.
Did I say we should stick our fingers in our ears and hum loudly? No, what I said is factually correct and that is if this negativity continues to the game on Saturday there's only one team it benefits and that isn't us.
The board and recruitment team have a big job to do this week and that doesn't just relate to this weekend but a loss on Saturday could see things unravel very quickly.

My info doesn't come from within the club like I suspect Longsides does. Sometimes its right, sometimes its wrong but always in good faith passes on what he hears about our doings. There's interest and that's as much as he knows. Gets an awful lot right about man city incomings/outgoings shall we say.

You can’t possibly think foster has been anything other than poor for the 3 games, like I said apart from one moment at Luton. He wasn’t in the game at Luton or Cardiff, he spent most of the game against Cardiff moaning at the ref. Yesterday he didn’t do anything, all the stick hountonji received, at least he looked like he was trying to find space and make runs

Without making the thread move to far away, that’s fine if you think he played well, that’s your opinion I disagree. He looked poor out wide but I think a lot of that was to do with playing that role and the level of tracking back he was having to do. (Looking at his average position on the pitch he was effectively left wing back). I think he showed in flashes he’s going to be a good player (made numerous runs and dragged defenders all over, we just couldn’t find him, especially esteve he regular struggled to find the right pass to him).
Give him time I think he would be a good addition

To be honest how embarrassing are some of the posters on here, comments regarding out goings with no evidence other than a granny’s cat cats holiday feeders boyfriends drug dealing mate who buys stuff of someone with a stutter & a squint who knows someone in the know down the local pub who goes on the internet with a mate who he’s friends with who plays internet games with from a third world country & posts it as evidence, get a grip! Do you think the owners & manager are selling everyone! Worsed set of a group of Burnley fans I’ve heard from! Laughing stock after the manager asked everyone to stick together after our first defeat to a very average team who will not be as good as us after the dust settles. Fans with a very over rated sense of importance. If your not happy please feel free to helping your sports sock to get excited over tik tok / you tube rumours about total guff about Burnley FC! Hang you’re heads in shame & go & support Man U or sky sports.

Not really. There's a huge gap between survival in the Premier League and promotion from the Championship.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 9:16 amChrist almighty.
So we've gone from romping being a 7 year PL team, to romping the Championship to now being a 2 year project in the Championship and finding it acceptable to field the side that we did yesterday?
Sorry, but all that is quite frankly b0llocks.
In football, teams have a limited window to achieve success and they should do everything in their power to make it happen. We're in ours right now and dismantling the side like this season upon season is only going to end one way and it ain't consecutive seasons in the Premier League.
In the Premier League unless you are a consistent top 8-10 side there's always risk of relegation.
The biggest challenge has always been getting back up despite selling your best players.
We're now feeling the rebuke of spending so much last season.
It's really not unusual.
Two seasons ago we were in a better position because we basically spent no money the season before.
Give it time for the window to get shut and for the manager to make his impact.

Only just seen on Twitter Romano stating Amdouni "very clear with Burnley, he only wants to play for Benfica". A loan to buy for 10 million is atrocious business. Tell them to get fecked. We can't be seen as a club willing to part with assets the moment a player's agent pipes up, we'll get our pants pulled down on the price.
