Played out of position by Kompany
If I remember rightly, he only played more than a half in 4 games, and 3 were against Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea at home, the other Brentford away. Two of those he played left wing and I thought did well. Chelsea he played right wing and had to track back, he was sold a real pup by Kompany there. At Fulham he came on early in the 2nd half, played left wing, and we won. Those were the games where I was defending him on here when he was getting dogs abuse. His other appearances were all bits and pieces in all kinds of positions when the game was gone. Really poor by Kompany to only give him the hardest clubs. He should have been played early at Luton or Forest, or Palace / West Ham at home, to try to get some rhythm and love.

So in that sense I have a lot of sympathy, though I also had the sense he never wanted to be here, but no evidence to that just a feeling.

I desperately hope we don't sell Brownhill. He's excellent and pivotal to the team at Championship level and has proved it before. He's less so at PL level, but we can worry about that IF we ever get back there. I also think the players who are leaving or linked with leaving are those who have decided they don't want to be here. I'd be surprised if Brownhill fell into that category as he's a different kind of character. He's well settled and making extremely good money and must know we can still sort ourselves out and make promotion.

Philip billing is being allowed to leave Bournemouth before the end of the window, surely we spoke to Bournemouth about him when we discussed Anthony

Yeah, definitely the fans fault.

Nothing to do with him being absolutely shite when he did get on the pitch.
I do remember the noise around his transfer on deadline day. He clearly wanted any choice other than us, and only agreed to come to us when he couldn't get a move anywhere else. But I get the feeling pandering to these players makes us a soft touch for every other player.

Just checking the usual YouTube vid of Hannibal perhaps not as good as Koleosho or Odebert but definitely an improvement in overall play than Benson and Zaroury, and if he and the fans hit it off could be a real star for us and Anthony capable of beating men with his skill so both would be a big improvement on the team against Sunderland.

He's a no. 8 not a winger.

I think we need to cut our losses on Tresor and get shut, it’s ok saying shove him in the reserves but he could quickly become our Winston Bogarde.
My son pointed out, that on his Instagram account he has no pictures linking him to Burnley, whereas many of our other players have and to me it shows he doesn’t really want to be here.

He's not a winger, certainly not a replacement for any of those 4

If we sell a few more and bring those in, that won't be anywhere near enough depth-wise... The slightest injury crisis and we would be in the same boat as the Sunderland game!

He often plays out wide and has decent pace which we certainly didn’t have at the weekend.

Nope. Sign Billing, keep Brownhill.

Brownhill, Cullen, Billing and Hannibal looks a nice selection of options in the middle

If he refuses to sign a new deal before Friday, I'd sell him. Otherwise, he could accept a move to Turkey after the transfer window shuts in the UK and then we would be stuck with no replacement. Their window shuts 2 weeks after ours.

Even if we don’t land Billing we should go in for him so the others in for him focus their money on him rather than “other” prospects

I wouldn't word it like that, Brownhill has value to me too. Billing is slow but he is 6ft 5 and that is valuable in this side. Being left footed he can drift and put a ball in with his left (I recall that was the position where he lobbed Trafford last season). Brownhill is the opposite. So I would keep them both and also have Hannibal, Cullen and Massengo in the middle so we have 5 for 2-3 spots.

He is valued at about £20m though so I doubt we'd get him and doubt they would agree to a loan then buy. But yes, he got 10 goals and 10 assists under Parker in their promotion season so if we can get him, I would, it all depends on how their relationship is, I would also arguably sell another big player to raise the cash if necessary.

Where's the Billing rumour come from? Can't see him dropping to Championship or us paying the fee required.

Billing would be a difference maker.

I love Brownhill but if the offer was at £10m+ guaranteed and we could get Billing in, then due to his contractual position I’d take that on the proviso of Billing coming in. Personally.

Ecstatic at Koleosho staying - that would have been the biggest error Pace could make IMO. Need to keep Amdouni and him.

I think if them two stay and we complete the signings we are, we will be promoted.

Long way to go before we know Koleosho is staying.
