As much as foster hasn’t started well, the fact he’s got prem experience, as the deadline comes near he might be an easier deal to do for teams in prem looking for a striker. You have Brentford, Leicester, Forest and Ipswich all still looking for strikers
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Has there been any inference anywhere that Foster could be signed by a premier league club this week?123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:35 pmAs much as foster hasn’t started well, the fact he’s got prem experience, as the deadline comes near he might be an easier deal to do for teams in prem looking for a striker. What kind of player is Billing? Is he our replacement for Sander?

Tall, rangy with goals in him (see vs Burnley last season). Sometimes described as lazy. so a lot like Berge. He's the one I really hope we get.Guller Bull wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:43 pmWhat kind of player is Billing? Is he our replacement for Sander?

We paid well over the odds for him so there's zero chance he goes at this stage... He has never been a prolific goal scorer over time since his career started and Premier League teams are looking for goal scorers...123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:35 pm

That's not to say I don't like him, I do and hope he stays for a few more seasons yet.

I like Billing. I wanted us to go for him when Bournemouth got him from Huddersfield.

May be not Spurs but he was strongly linked as likely to depart. I wasn't aware that applies to Foster. If there aren't any rumours -credible or otherwise - it's best to not just stab in the dark given the purpose of the thread.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:44 pmThere wasn’t a single link to Odobert to spurs and then he was gone

I’m starting to think this isn’t the owners just cashing in and it is genuinely players saying they don’t want to be at the club

Absolutely gutted/livid about this one. Ridiculous decision.

Not particularly the club, more the division the club is in.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:57 pmI’m starting to think this isn’t the owners just cashing in and it is genuinely players saying they don’t want to be at the club

Shame to see Amdouni leave but no shock once he said he wanted to go.

Agreed. Leaves us short and very little time to sort it, for absolutely no obvious benefit, given how much we spent on him.
Benfica have just cleared €80 million from Neves.
Not like they are short of cash.
He’d have done well in the league this year and been key to a promotion push.

"Sorry Zeki, we've lost too much quality. I need you for one year, that's it. Then I promise you can go. Knuckle down, get your goals and who knows where you'll be next year. Why did we sell Twine when he wanted to stay knowing this was going to happen?

Amdouni had an agreement he’d be available for 20 mins a game but he clearly told them he wanted to leave.
If people don’t want to be here then we have to get them out, and this was the best offer available.

Atleast he’s made himself available. A replacement will cost a lot of money!

I think some might be right and Friday's signing, when all attempts to sign a midfielder have failed, is Jack Cork

Hasn't started a game this season
I don't want him to go, especially on loan, but let's not go overboard

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
We don't have to get them out at all. He signed a contract, which safeguards his future but also means we get to decide if he stays or goes till it expires. I understand you don't want 5 or 6 players in your team all desperate to go. But in this instance; financially and in terms of our promotion chances, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's a bigger risk letting him go 3 days before the window shuts, than it is to have a 23 year old annoyed temporarily he didn't get a move.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Amdouni leaving is hardly a shock, he'd have been pretty close to the top of everybody's list of players who'd leave.
We can't replace his quality but I'm sure there is a replacement lined up. Once the domino effect started he would never be sticking around.

Come on. This level of turnover is unheard of and has been made from the previous manager and the boards' view of players as commodities.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 1:57 pmI’m starting to think this isn’t the owners just cashing in and it is genuinely players saying they don’t want to be at the club
If a player basically knows that they're nothing more than glorified cattle, then why would you expect them to properly buy in and be committed?

I've always rated him, actually. And he would be absolute mustard in this league. There just isn't a rationale beyond him fancying a move, to let this happen. Sometimes the club's benefit has to take precedent.

I’m becoming increasingly disillusioned with events at the club. My faith is being tested.

Amdouni was always going to go. Hopefully this means Kolo stays.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I'm not sure how Hannibal can be seen as an upgrade. Brownhill has played 111 games in the Premier League and 161 in the Championship.
Apprently Wolves, Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Brentford are all interested in signing our captain. He's been there and done it . Two promotions under his belt. Not sure what Hannibal has done other than a less than remarkable season at Birmingham City. I don't doubt that he has potential as he's still only 21 but I wouldn't call him an upgrade.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Wonder if anyone from the board actually got the players in a room and asked them for one season to try to get promotion. It feels like they have just bowed down to demands without actually trying to get them to stay.

And another one gone. If he didn't want to stay then sod off. Trouble is, no news on the three players supposedly having medicals.

Vincent Kompany FC.
Some players blatantly only came for him, now we are up **** creek now he’s gone.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Exactly. He came to us purely to play in the Premier League. It surely shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that he's going. A bit like Wout and Trafford they were always likely to want to play at a higher level.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 2:15 pmAmdouni was always going to go.
