It's usually a good idea if you don't understand a subject to not chat about that subject lol.
Eh? Sorry your a fountain of knowledge all of a sudden?
You said nobody has left the club on a financial relegation release clause being met (of what we know publicly), I retorted that releases clauses do not need to be financial. They can include allowing you to discuss with potential employers without fear of breaking your existing contract in event of relegation.
But you already knew that though didn't you?

Time to say NO
Luca cost us 2.5m if he wants to sulk let him sit at home. But saying NO needs to be done to stop this whole farce in it’s tracks.
no, if he wants out take the money. Parker could do a lot with the cash. See ya Luca

Parker probably can't wait for that Jay Rod and Hountondji link up against Bastards.
I'd consider walking if I were him.
Why maybe he’s happy at getting shut of a bunch of tossers who have no interest in being here.

Rats leaving the sinking ship.
If they don't want to be here get rid. Exactly the opposite kind of attitude we need from our players in the derby on Saturday.
Well, you hit the nail on the head there.
The ship is sinking.

Imagine how well love Parker feels, knowing all these players he just spent a month getting to know don't want to work with him.
His behaviour was criticised when he wanted out at Charlton as a young player, so it's not like he doesn't get it's not personal.

We don't have to get them out at all. He signed a contract, which safeguards his future but also means we get to decide if he stays or goes till it expires. I understand you don't want 5 or 6 players in your team all desperate to go. But in this instance; financially and in terms of our promotion chances, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's a bigger risk letting him go 3 days before the window shuts, than it is to have a 23 year old annoyed temporarily he didn't get a move.
Yeh… good idea, keep someone who doesn’t want to be here… that’ll work!

As we stand team for Saturday and bench / squad when all fit. Named squad of 25 and under 21’s additional for homegrown
Hladky,
Roberts, esteve , worral , pires
Hannibal, Cullen, Brownhill
Koleosho, Vitinho ,
Foster,
Bench
Sarmiento, Anthony, Green , sambo , Ekdal, Beyer, Humphreys, Egan-Riley
Massengo, , Ramsey, Hountondji, Jay Rod . Dodgson, McNally, Delcroix,
Redmond, Agyei
Some may yet still leave so if brownhill went and billings arrived as an example —. Going to take a little time to gel so upcoming international break important.
Just trying to think positively and manifest some optimism.
I thought in his post match interview Parker said about Cullen - it's just a niggle but will take a bit longer.
I'm not expecting him to play this weekend based on that

If there is a 25m offer for Koleosho on the table then the club should take it. Come on. Unless the recruitment department is totally broken we can surely find 3 or 4 decent young players for that sort of money. If we get offered 10m for Brownhill I'd expect him to go too given he's out of contract in the summer. Wout is just waiting to get out and Trafford is no doubt on his way too. We had 40 players we knew there'd be a lot of outgoings. A lot of them came in because we were ambitious or because we were a Premier League club. If the club can make a profit I'm not surprised if they sell. What will be telling is how much they spend before the window shuts. In past windows they've always spent a significant amount. Could be a busy week.

What you reckon LC
Trafford
McNally
Amdouni
Tresor
Koleosho
Weghorst
All out the door, then potentially
Vitinho
Brownhill
Foster
LongsideClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 3:48 pm
I’d probably swap Trafford and Foster in those lists and that’s about where it is currently.
If Trafford is less likely to go does that mean the interest in Bournemouth's Travers is either untrue or 'just in case'? I can't see both being at the club surely - unless Green is not considered number three material.

I'm not surprised that players want to leave. Who would want to stay when you look at the squad around you and seemingly most are linked to exits. You wouldn't want to be the last one standing to clean up the mess at the end
Depends on your character. I can think of people who would want to sort the mess out.

I don't disagree about most of the prices being there or there abouts, it is squad depth, timing and the amount of disruption as well. No one gives a **** about Wolves but the game on Saturday... I don't conceive how Parker gets the squad prepared for the game with this level of disruption. My gut feeling we will need more like 6 or 7 of the right quality. Maybe we can speak with Chelsea and ask about five of the 20 that their manager doesn't want to coach.

Speculators suggestion - has this leaked list possibly been with Parker’s thoughts on each player and resulted in them all saying “******** to this, get me out I’m not playing”. The two seem linked - it was at the same time.
I’m only guessing, there has to be something more to this than simply Alan’s Klarna bailiffs.

I expect everyone is on the list of wanting to leave now. Why wouldn't they be when they can see what's happening at the club, I'd want to get out ASAP. It's an absolute car crash. As I've said from day one, Alan Pace is a disaster for our club and may well have finally ended our chances of Premier league football for quite a while

Modern football is really f*cking sh1te isn't it?
I really, really wish I could just switch off my passion for the club but I can't.
I do think this is the board's making but if a 19 yr old lad, coming off an ACL, who has three career goals and less than 30 apps is kicking up a fuss to leave then the game is properly gone.
It also proves just how daft 'the project' and howling mad Mooney's ideals really are.

It really is mind blowing what's happened to the squad. Fair enough, a good number of sales were needed but this is staggering stuff.
Matt Williams said Kompany was the best thing ever to happen to Burnley, looks a very wild comment now.

Unless we get £30M in for Koleosho then I say keep blocking his move and let him rot in the U21's as an example. "Only" cost us £2.5M anyway.

If Lyle Foster has somehow got a Premier League move lined up off the back of his time at Burnley so far that is really surprising to me. He’s got the raw attributes but come on, what’s he done? He’s had 5 or 6 brilliant performances, a load of rank bad ones and then a few middling ones - all interspersed with a significant amount of time off with mental illness which the club and fanbase stuck by him on.
After signing him from an absolute non entity of a club and making him likely a millionaire, I have to say I’d find his efforts to get himself out of our club even more distasteful than the others.

I feel Brentford are repaying us for taking Andre Grey and Tarkowski off them in the way we did........

Yep, he’s a good player, no doubt but if an ounce of this is true (which I have no reason to believe otherwise) then he’s a jumped up little ****.
Like the majority, to be fair.
