Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
The silence is deafening. Imo it's time Alan Pace issued a state of the club address.
Surely all our players are not wanting out ?

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
Spot on ! Where is he ? But please God, not another condescending tweet from Ball
Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
Why do people expect the club to make a statement? The transfer window is still live. Theres better things to be doing than trying to comfort those who are in meltdown.

Alan Pace puts some notes in the programme for every home game. Plenty of time to say what he feels needs to be said on Saturday and subsequent Saturdays.
It might be he's also available for a chat with a few fans before the game. He seems to do it most home games.

People expect a statement as they have invested thousands following their team .Many before Pace was a twinkle in his Dad's eye. Also it's the reasonable and polite thing to do

I would love to hear what he has to say, but I don't think a public statement to make us look even more desperate than we already are, is a great idea with hardly any time left in this window.

I can guarantee that if he did, he'd be slaughtered. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

After the window closes, sure.

If he's going to take Russell Ball's tone he's best keeping quiet.
Either way, no matter how bad the window is, it will surely look better on Friday night than it looks right now. Communication above and beyond the usual programme nights will probably be good at that point but nowt for it right now.

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
There's some truth in that but it's not just about kompany it's also the fact that it's the championship they don't want to play in. I reckon if we was still in the PL with a different manager paying them the same as last season most would want to stay. The players are willing get sold with the clubs approval it's not just about them wanting to leave although that's the narrative that's being pushed out.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 5:33 pm"I put way too much faith in Kompany and let him run roughshod over the football club because I have no experience. I'm wary about the OP.
That's the kind of grammar I get in those fraudulent emails telling me I've won the Ugandan National Lottery, etc.

I wonder what the printing schedule is for the programme and how late in the week his notes will be written.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 5:42 pmIf he's going to take Russell Ball's tone he's best keeping quiet.

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
If he puts out a statement, some of you won’t believe it anyway
So he’s damned either way
Plus the window isn’t shut yet and he doesn’t have to run anything past the fans

Can you name me on chairman or owner that has ever put out a statement similar to what you request?Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 5:19 pmThe silence is deafening. Imo it's time Alan Pace issued a state of the club address.

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
I get what Alan is doing he’s trading players like he used to trade shares. Buy low sell high , very obvious.
Only difference is that fans get attached to players and want to see some continuity in the team because they like them. He’s just looking at what hes paid for them and when another club offers a couple of million higher then immediately sells them.
Not the way I want to see someone run the football club I support and I’m sure the fans will let him know next time he’s in his box. We want to see the team up this year and successful not this crazy number of players coming in and out every year and hoping for the best that Parker can pull off a miracle like Kompany.
We need to keep one or two of our better players and build around them something which he and his clan don’t seem to “get”.
As soon as someone starts playing well he thinks you sell them, silly way to run a football club. Will never be successful like that in the long run.
He might as well open a share dealing platform than own a football club.

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
What I would like to see is a question and answer session with Alan Pace at Turf Moor. I remember attending one wuth Steve Fotterill in one of the James Hargreaves Stand suites. If memory serves me correct, CT was M.C.
That's what I would like to see. I know it's never going to happen.

I’m sure everyone will calm down when he makes an announcement on Friday about a new Pizza supplier at Turf Moor.

Re: Perhaps it time for a statement from our Chairman
No need to make a verbal statement, what good would that do?
He needs to make a genuine statement of intent in this window.
Back the manager with some of the money and it will change the mindset of everyone instantly.
Players and fans alike.
