There were a lot of question marks around him while we had the best squad in this league. Right now, I'm not sure it's even good enough to push for play-off spots.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
These deals in isolation are all somewhere between acceptable and great. £25m for Foster would be fantastic.
The massive problem is the volume and the timing.
Assuming there’s now an intention to bring lots of players in over the next 3 days, what sort of players are available this late on and how much would they cost?
Nobody is letting their best players out this late unless the fee is massive, which only leaves unwanted players. That’s not to say we can’t get several very good players in, but it’s going to be so much harder at this stage.
We’re also effectively going to be starting again in terms of bedding in Parker’s ideas.

Me too, I really backed this group and long term vision, It’s quite clear the vision I saw was considerably different to reality. What an absolute shitshow.
Quite frankly f**k the absolute lot of the mercenary tossers and I wish them all nothing but failure. Disloyal shitstains, used the club.
And my love for those remaining has grown.

Can we do supporters club transfer - i could be loaned to accrington for a season with an obligation for a season ticket in 25/26 - i believe twix’s are cheaper as an added bonus at Stanley.

Getting the points to stay up as soon as possible, is surely the aim now.
I’d be fuming if I was Parker. Made to wait weeks to be appointed, worked hard pre season to get the squad into some kind of shape, now all the main players have been sold.
New signings could take weeks to bed in.

But if we were to end up in a relegation fight I’d want him in the side for the desire

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I just feel like we trusted the ownership, and backed the project last year despite results. Still got behind the team, didn't panic - and for the first game or two of the season that seemed to be rewarded this year despite Kompany leaving. It's going to be a very long season and I don't think the ownership will receive the same support as last year unless things turn around drastically.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I've tried to be as supportive as possible of Foster, but now he's off I feel I can say that I've found him to be an absolute donkey for the most part. A proper ungraceful and untechnical lump, apart from a few flashes.
Amdouni, as much as you adore him, is a weak little fart in the wind who thinks he's good but the ball bounces off him like a council estate wall.

If the reason all these players want to leave is they think they are better than us, and won't play in the Championship, why have they waited until the last week of the window to announce it?
Clearly, something massive has happened that has changed everything. The snowball effect.

I feel like it must be a wind up cause it's like a devine entity must have seen my post from yesterday when I said I didn't know whether it was all strategic, informed choices or blind panic. Well ill tell you now and see if you come to the same conclusion as me.
We have enquired about an Ivorian chap at WHU who has one or two issues with his fitness.

Spare a moment for Josh Brownhill. His agent will be getting offers for 4 or 5 year deal that double his current wage. Frankly, he'd be mad not to take one. However, if he resists at our hour of need he should become legend.

The vast majority of fans, including myself, are blaming the board. I know they have to agree to the deals but maybe their hands are tied? Maybe its become so toxic the easiest option is to get rid and pray to make enough signings before the window.

Let’s be honest here, 25 m for Foster is robbery of the highest order.
Like others have said, we are kidding ourselves that he is any good. He was terrible last time in the championship and in my view even worse in the prem.
I think he could be part of the issue at the club too - get rid and take the money !
