I might be operating at a higher or lower plane of consciousness to some of you but I didn't think that was all that disastrous.

We'll have to see what happens over the next couple of days but I think

Hladky or Trafford
Roberts and then any of Worrall Esteve Pires Humphreys
Two of Brownhill Mejbri Cullen

Is as least as good as anything the rest of the league puts out.

If we can keep foster and Koleosho then we are not gonna be far off at all

Only seen Whiffa mention that we were “playing a PL side”, with better players than us all over the pitch. Live with it. Play like that Saturday and we can win.
It’s a fair point TT, but I think it’s also fair to say we didn’t lay a glove on Wolves B team tonight.

There were some positives tonight and I don’t actually think we are a million miles away from a decent championship team. But that was a really poor showing tonight.

Hope to god we beat them Saturday and things don’t get toxic on the turf because if we do get beat I can see it getting very very unpleasant for our Mormon friends. To the point he won’t be safe in the stadium

Massengo has been excellent, Hannibal too. Pires shocking. Got to wonder if losing his interpreter and friend (Vithino) is affecting him badly.

Nixon on R.Lancs saying he doesn't think there's any chance of Plymouth letting Whitaker go.
Reckons he's their best chance of staying up, so "why would they let him go?"

They fielded a very strong team and brought on three 1st teamers on the 60th minute. Valuable minutes for players to get used to each other and build patterns. Felt like Pires was expecting to have Cullen with a few of his passes. Positives for sure.

I honestly thought massengo looked well of it in comparison to Brownhill and Hannibal.

They looked levels above IMO

That was a better performance than I was expecting after Saturday.

Just add some width and goal threat over the next few days...

Wolves Reserves v Burnley Reserves nothing to see

Messengo looks tidy might do ok in a midfield 3 but he didn't seem to gel with Brownhill Saturday and he's too much like Cullen. So, maybe Cullen and Messengo as a dual pivot pushing Brownhill forward.

Watched on the thread provided. Definitely some good signs. I liked the shape on the whole and the composure in passing. Not perfect of course but gives more hope than some are suggesting. It is clear where improvements are needed so no need to say.
I'm sorry I haven't used any dramatic language to make my points. I'm happy to leave that to the detractors.

Really sad to see the team change so quickly from being a team that could and should have stayed in the Premiership to a team that might just about survive in the Championship.

Massengo looks like a tidy reserve to come on and try to maintain possession. I didn't see anyone who could drive us forwards. I saw a tidy passenger. I worry if we are thinking of letting Brownhill go and expecting him and Laurent to be fine.

Obviously, as everyone could see, I hope we get something up front. We look anyone who can hold the ball in their half. LK and others might be available but we are desperate for pace and presence.

Yes it’s been a bad week but I’m disappointed that you are tying yourself in knots to make it look like Burnley have underperformed tonight.

With the line up we had tonight I wasn’t expecting anything but a defeat but at least the new lads got some minutes under their belt. Please try and look at a few positives going into the Rivers game. We are desperate for a few. 😉

😩😂. Mandatory mobile text typo. Let’s hope the Clarets can muster up some team spirit and force a result against Bstrds. Not a typo this time.

Most of Mejbris appearances have come in the championship.

Massengo has got nearly triple the amount in the championship.

So, they are working hard to get players in. He didn't say how good these players are though. And it doesn't sound all doom and gloom with Humphreys interview. He said he was loving it and it already fealt like home.

I just took the trouble to look his stats up.
Not quite so inexperienced as it at first looked.
I'd still say that Massengo has more league experience without doubt.

He's shitter than I thought then if this is how he is after loads of games in the Champ. Just swans around and makes an odd pass. Stealing a wage. Cullen has shown us how it's done. It might be a deeper midfield role, but you still need some energy, intensity and zip about your play. From what I've seen so far he is way too slow and laid back. Plays like he's smoked some weed beforehand!

Tonight was an absolute gift - no pressure, gets the players to know how each other play and improves fitness.
How could anyone complain?

Humphreys looked a very intelligent defender-reminded me of Ake of Man City. I think he needs to start Saturday at LB, along Esteve, Worral and Roberts. We desperately need fire power and some skillfull wide me. For me Hountondgi (or however it is spelt) not ready yet, and sadly Jay's days are well behind him-looked he was running everywhere to avoid any contact or getting hurt
