If they are selling the family silver, to pay off loans etc, how are they going to do a runner? Who are they selling the club to?

Beyer is definitely injured.warksclaret wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 9:05 amAgreed its inexcusable and shows no respect for our club and what we did for him. Clubs from time to time gets a player that behaves this way, however in the last few weeks BFC has had Koleosho, Wout, Amdouini, Benson, Zaroury, Vitinho,Muric,Berge,Foster, Tresor (maybe Del-crock) I suspect Beyer too. all seemingly wanting to get out. Some of them showing it in extreme ways. Thats absolutely **** recruitment by ourselves-and I have to say this, none of them are from this country
We have no idea re the rest and certainly can't say people have refused to play. If LC said it, I'd probably believe it.
I'm not sure what country they are from has to do with it, we know who brought the players in with his magic phone calls.
Just surprised people think that players are Burnley fans like us.

It does seem strange that this messiah has been left out by Parker as well. Perhaps there isn’t an agenda keeping this world beater from playingTricky Trevor wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:22 amI think fans need to forget Benson. With VK it appeared personal but when SP ignores him also there is more to this than we know. Sad cos he lit up the place.

He’s reported to be lazy or a poor trainer and probably still has the cob on over last season.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 9:19 amIt does seem strange that this messiah has been left out by Parker as well. Perhaps there isn’t an agenda keeping this world beater from playing
But he has more skill in his left toe than most of those who started at Sunderland. I doubt think that is disputable.

Couldn't agree more!
Far too many scare mongers revelling in the **** show of a club we have at the moment!!
How many times can the same posters say the same fecking thing ............if only these muppets had full time employment 🫣

Maupay would be a good signing for us here. 28 years and loads of experience. Don't think we will pay his wages though. Guessing he will be on a lot at Everton.
All these players leaving is literally taking millions (annually) of our wage commitments, and is probably being used to reset the wage structure at the club.

“Sean, how do you fancy doing your old boss, Alan Pace, a big favour at Burnley and loaning him Neal Maupay?”

I listened to him recently on Peter Crouch’s podcast and it didn’t seem like it had gone toxic to be fair. Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
A solid 5 or 6 years ago. Scored 33 in his last 160 league games albeit at a higher level. 26 of those came at Brighton over 2/3 years ago. 1 in 29 games for Everton, 6 in 29 for Brentford since.
May rediscover his scoring boots, but not for me.

I think it is more the relationship with the fans that is toxic. He was very quick to speak out about players being abused.

Ah right, fair one. If you don’t want toxic fans then Everton needs to be avoided. Never seen a more deluded lot.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2024 9:53 amI think it is more the relationship with the fans that is toxic. He was very quick to speak out about players being abused.

Sarmiento did cross my mind again when someone posted about a medical taking place and the missed appointment on Monday.
After that I think Longside did post that he thought it was still on. Weird one if true. Misses planned medical, goes back to play and score for parent club, returns for medical.
This is a crazy week so far if true.

Not sure why he would react like that? They’ve both cordially chatted since and he’s a big enough man to move on from these type of things. Plus, it gets a salary off the wage bill for a player not in contention. There also is definitely a ‘baggage’ problem with Maupay and Everton fans.
I think NM’s salary will be too much of a stumbling block though.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Maupay is a horrible little shithouse of a player.
He’s up there with Richarlson in what he gets up to on the pitch.
But the situation is that bad with our attacking options that sadly I’d taken him. It’s not like we are in a position to turn down someone with his experience.
But I’d be amazed if he came here - he’s probably got preconceived opinions about our club and thinks he is far too good for us (and right now he probably is)
Suppose one good thing about being on our arses is not seeing the likes of Maupay in a Burnley shirt. I think we have probably had our fill of poor attitude in the last couple of years

Alan Nixon mentioned something about championship clubs backing out of buying players from prem and trying to loan them instead. I’m wondering if that is one of the reasons the Sarmiento deal was actually held up

If I was a player, I would really be concerned about signing for Burnley atm, especially if I had other options.
But we shall see.
We need at least 3 or 4 new players by tomorrow. Seems unlikely, but we wait...
