A gamble where a loan move might make sense. Every club has just seen how quickly we can increase values for players. A productive season in the Championship would see his value get Lyon to at least break even.

There was a scouting report on Hountondji after we signed him, listing streng5hs and weaknesses and his close control was listed as a weakness, an area to improve, so don't be surprised. Also 8n his signing interview he didn't hide the fact that he needed to improve that area of his game, so give the guy a break. Enjoy what he does well, after a settling in period.

There’s 5 loan signings there to go with Anthony and Humphreys, surely we don’t end up with a squad of 7 loan signings and 2 have to miss out of every match day squad

These in the know Twitter transfer gurus get paid for clicks, it is harvest time during transfer windows they can put up any ballcocks they want and watch the money pour in, by agent contact they get some bits, by default they fall over others… they then post again “as I exclusively revealed” and claim another crop of clicks while everyone forgets all the nonsense they previously spouted.

I’m reckoning on Whittaker being a permanent, plus potentially Travers. We might not have huge amounts of cash flow, but we must have some, given the outgoings. Plus, it’s about to be boosted by Vitinho tomorrow, and probably Trafford too. Even if we loan him with an obligation, it’s not close to being unheard of that we’d take a ‘payday loan’ to advance his fee.

In terms of ‘dream on’, I have no knowledge whatsoever. That being said, two of them, in Sarmiento and Laurent are basically done, if they’ve passed their medicals. Two already have bids in, so negotiations are well underway and talks between clubs already started. That just leaves Travers, who is a player Parker has a good relationship with and imagine has been sounding out since the first Trafford bid. Admittedly the Brazilian lad is more wildcard, but we’ve done many of those moneyball type deals out of the blue before.

Similarly with outgoings; Vitinho has basically been confirmed by Parker, McNally linked with a club who have been mentioned with him all summer long and who have money from sales, and Trafford constantly linked with Newcastle since the window opened. We’ve not got a partnership with Dundee to not send players there, to try and benefit us both, and presume we’ve been waiting till now as they count as foreign loans, and you can only do 6 of them. Amdouni would have taken one spot today, along with the French kid. Lots of U21 regulars haven’t featured this year, so not beyond the realms of possibility they are lined up to go there. Then you have the lads who have made it to the first team bench. If you manage to get first teamers in on deadline day, a loan to National League seems a reasonable level for some of them to go.

I’m worried about travers now because arsenal are in for Neto at Bournemouth so they might not let travers leave, then if Trafford goes we need to find a keeper somewhere

We could survive without. I wouldn’t choose to, but could see how Hladky goes until January and then make a call. Green as 2, Casper, who I rate highly as 3.

At the start we had Vitinho, Benson, Redmond, Gudmundsson in that position. Gudmundsson left so clearly he wasn't in the plans for this season. Benson clearly has been told he can go too. Redmond has been long term injured and no idea when he's due back. Now Vitinho is leaving, admittedly this was likely a surprise.

Hountondji has played from the right in the last few games.but he is a CF and has in the past only played from the right a handful of times so I don't count him as a legitimate right winger.

Judging by his links to Rangers earlier in the window, Plymouth are clearly at minimum open to listening to offers. Why is it such a last minute push? Or is it a panic move after someone else fell through? Who was the alternative? Or was the plan only to have Vitinho to play the position?

I think some people expect a young lad we signed for 4 million Euros who is 25 minutes into his brand new life and playing out of position to be as good as Mo Salah (who was useless when he was younger) - if he was superb at everything he wouldn't be playing for us in the Championship

Why would we all of a sudden knock £10m off? I can understand lowering it if he was kicking up a stink, but he doesn't appear to be as he is no. 1 at the minute. Unless it's Whittaker money .
