Not being funny but if he just works at the training ground how is he getting inside info about a signing having a good chance? Serious question.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 2:22 pmHe’s told me a few things recently, has a family member that works at the training ground

Really glad we are looking at right backs. Thought it would get overlooked with other areas seen as a bigger priority.
We have Roberts who is weak and defensively poor along with Sambo who I'm guessing isn't ready. I think we are crying out for someone in that role.

I know McNally has gone to Bristol City and I wish him and Twine the very best. At a time recently when some of our recent departures, and one or two others have acted very unprofessional in trying to engineer a move away, I think McNally, from what I have seen, can hold his head high. He featured I believe in all four games this seaon, the last of which on Wednesday, he started, and he must have known then he was moving to Bristol City. He never let us down in those four games, but more importantly he was keen to wear the shirt

It's somewhat hypocritical given that I do hope we complete Whittaker but I notice Palace have told the Mags to do one re Guehi.
They've had all summer to pay the price and I hope we do the same now.

You don’t think we’ve become very good/quick/efficient at signing players and getting deals done for the last few years.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 12:48 pmStandard Burnley this, holding the Sarmiento and Laurent announcements to soften to blow of not get another winger, striker or number 10 over the line today.
We have had years of this
We’re probably closing on 50 first team signings under Paces tenure (if not more).
Before that though …….

I don’t think it’s about speed of getting them done, it’s more about they have left it late to get targets and just incase we don’t bring anyone in, later on tonight they can say ‘but look we have signed these 2’ who we all knew about 2 days agoHoltyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 3:19 pmYou don’t think we’ve become very good/quick/efficient at signing players and getting deals done for the last few years.

It was never happening today, as soon as neither Sarmiento or Laurent was announced this morning, you knew nothing major was happening today.
Life of being a Burnley fan in the transfer window, always short, last season it was a left back.
This season it’s a winger and striker, if we are greedy a number 10 to

Can only assume Ramsay must be closer to returning than the end of the year or Tresor is staying or we look really short in that area.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
He was a part of a side too good for that level. He could basically be covered up as a weakness by the strength of the side.
In a team that isn't completely dominant he becomes a huge weakness that can be targeted defensively.

A No.10 and a striker would've been great, but compared to what it could've been a week ago, it's not been too bad. Would love another 1 or 2 through the door, but it doesn't feel likely.
