Odobert, Amdouni, O'Shea, JBG gone and Vits going.

Tbf thinking about it, if benson stays we can probably do without another winger. But another striker is key to the season, to help foster

Gut instinct is we need to go big for Whittaker to guarentee goals and that is then a side that can win the league, fitness permitting (now we have a small squad). Otherwise we feel a smidgen light. Only until January lets not forget.
If anything arises very late in the window too they can grab it - like Billing who sounded like he is holding out for a PL move.
On balance pleased so far.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
We are still massively short of attacking options and probably goals too!... Just 1 or 2 injuries and we have kids playing again and players out of position... Amazing considering how much we have brought in financially and how soon in the window we knew that we needed to strengthen!...
This is their 2nd weak summer window in a row and again, like last season, having a good January window probably won't be enough to help achieve the season's goal, unless that goal has changed to consolidating and then pushing next season... Either way, we look hugely under-equipped in several departments!...
The fact that the usual suspects are clinging on to the fact that we have kept 4 of our best players and declaring that as a victory is truly embarrassing when you look at the entire window as a whole...
We are FAR weaker than those first 2 games, especially in squad depth!

People are really easy to please if they think this is a good window if we don't get Whittaker or another permanent attacking player for decent money.
Bring in over 100 mill not including parachute oayments and spend about 10 including a 500k plodder from Stoke. Utterly dreadful

Benson will depend on his state of mind, as Parker referred to yesterday. Given he left him out of the last few games I wouldn’t be too optimistic.
I would suggest Agyei might find himself in and around it as he did use him in Cadiz & he seems highly thought of by staff at the training ground. Sounds like he’ll be back post internationals.

Apparently he and Brownhill had a meeting with the u21's about the WhatsApp leak, which confirmed what many thought in that he's a very important part of the dressing room.Venkys4eva wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 4:14 pmJay shouldn't even be at the club, hes completely shot. With so many ins and outs, I think it's absolutely vital that we have him there, even more so as a Burnley fan. The players will know the standards required in training just from him and Brownhill being there and I would imagine they wouldn't want to let them down as much as the manager or the fans.
That's how good dressing rooms work.

The two times that Parker has managed to get teams out of the Championship he has had the services of Solanke or Mitrovic to call upon.willsclarets wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 4:20 pmWe are certainly light up top. A bad injury to Foster and we're goosed.
Completely different test for him here where he will probably have to hope it’s “One Nil to the Burnley” more often than not.

Tomorrows opponents have made two signings today. Toth, a Hungarian left side defender and Cozier-Duberry, a 19yo winger on loan from BHA. No idea if either are available for tomorrow.

Our worst signing? His 2 goals against Utd alone mean that definitely isn't true. I think he's been a really solid signing, that we've had great value from on and off the pitch.
That's not to mention when he was top scorer in this league 2 years ago before injuries hit.
And you think people give him an easy ride.
