Don’t particularly like the guy but he’s certainly pulled out all the stops after the Sunderland **** show.

Seems a nice guy, I can see he's doing the best he can.
I'll never like the way he purchased the club but I'll try snd enjoy the ride.

Re: Alan Pace
As was said on another thread regarding the ownership. They have control of the club, all fans can do is back the team and manager. These guys are not here to lose money and it's very easy as fans to call every decision into question. The team will be what it will be, I think ALK have got things wrong but at least there is plenty to talk about. A distance away from the transfer window of Dale Stephens...

They’re learning, they’re trying. They’ll get better at it.
Chill
I prefer this to watching a slow death under MG and absolutely nothing arriving on the talent conveyor belt.
All we got from him was ‘computer says no’

Constructive criticism is fine,I've done plenty and am concerned about the club and criticism is to be expected, however some of these comments are childish, unhelpful, not funny and embarrassing. As fans surely we can do better?

Re: Alan Pace
I feel Alan is a really genuine guy doing everything he can to do his utmost for the club, whilst also doing his utmost for the investors and the bank balance and that tight rope has got to be bloody difficult to walk. We've been at several crossroads before during his relatively short stewardship and we're now at yet another. The way he comes across I never doubt he feels it personally, as well as in the balance sheet and desperately wants the club to succeed. Course not everything has gone great and not everything in the garden is particularly rosy right now, but looking around the leagues I can't help feeling we could be in far, far worse hands. We'll see.

Did the right thing in potting Dyche
Since then he hasn’t shown much acumen for running a football club and letting Kompany splash £100m+ was negligent.
Not sure he has what it takes to take us forward, suppose we are going to find out!

Ok then, just do the right thing, and bring the old players portraits back, all around the outside of the ground ,respect to those players, familys, fans alike, taking them down, was a disgrace to the Supporters Club fan base, without consultation,it is not all about what happens on the pitch, please do the right thing,UTC.

Re: Alan Pace
The problem started with our absolutely disastrous summer window last year when we signed a bucket load of average, light weight fancy dancers for big money. I would love to know if this was Kompany's plan or Pace's plan, or a combination of both. This needed sorting out.
To be honest, I would have loved to have kept Berge and Odobert, but it wasn't to be. All the other players we shipped out this pre-season didn't concern me at all... in fact if Jayrod and Trafford had also gone, I would have been happy to wish them farewell. If we keep Esteve, Koleosho and Brownhill in the next couple of hours, I think we will have had a good window. With the new players we are bringing in we will have one of best squads in the division and I hope we have a manager who can blend them into a team that plays attractive, attacking, successful football. Tomorrow is a very important day for us all, get behind the team everybody and save your whinging and sarcastic comments til after the game.

Was in The Lounge at Crowood tonight dining with his family and a couple of guys who were definitely on MTB series 1. He was on a table adjacent to ours, and was continually on his phone and messaging. This is 100% the truth. Looks like there still may have been deals to be done. This was around 8.30 pm.

I like him. He's all in and giving it everything. No it isn't easy and I don't like the way things have had to be rebuilt every year. But not easy to avoid when we've been relegated twice, had changes in manager. Give the guy a break.

We’ve still got a number of players on the books that will generate profit when sold
We’ve spent £50 million ish
Wouldn’t be doable without the recent transfer windows we’ve had under Kompany

Re: Alan Pace
As above, he is trying to balance the books as well as supporting the managers, players and fans, which can't be easy. It's also easy to say in hindsight that he made an error in judgement allowing VK to blow his wad on all those players last season, however the majority of people believed we'd stay up, so he was, like most people, only fooled by VKs failed project and I'd be fairly sure he's trying to put right. Let's see how this season pans out...

Re: Alan Pace
Since when did supporters seemingly become more interested in the financial performance of the club ahead of its on-pitch success? If we don’t finish in the top two this season this transfer window will have been a failure. It’s too early to make a judgement until then.

I must admit I don't know the new players well enough to know but I agree any financial success has to be also based partially on performance on the pitch...
But we have a good few new faces and I think a decent manager so we we'll have to see.

Whether or not Alan Pace is a good chairman, whether or not he is doing what’s best for Burnley FC, there’s absolutely no excuse for calling anyone a “moron” or a “ parasite” or any of the other insulting words. I don’t know the man and I do have concerns about how the club is being run following the take over but if all anyone can do is using insults then it’s pathetic.
