They've defended well. We haven't moved the ball quick enough to give them problems

Give them credit, they've defended very well with only 10 men. We haven't looked like ever breaking through.

Re: Clarets v Rovers
The number of times we have given the ball away is obscene. We need to improve on that a hell of a lot.

Brownhill should never be on set pieces, been saying it for years. Nevermind, a good point and unlucky not to get all 3.

That was rubbish tbh in terms of creating final third. But credit to them

Re: Clarets v Rovers
We dominated but struggled against a total park the bus job from red card onwards. I feared this game just cos of our turnover, all being said, I will take the point and continuing our unbeaten run against them. Today was a risky game with all our debutants and Cullen being injured (our most important player).
Take the point, move on, smash them at Eaood.

Re: Clarets v Rovers
Well, that was shite. 1 shot on target making it a grand total of 3 in the last 3 games…
Re: Clarets v Rovers
Would have taken a draw before the match after the turmoil of the past couple of weeks. Have two weeks now to get the players knowing each other. This is where they need to go off somewhere to bond!

Re: Clarets v Rovers
Got to take that performance with a pinch of salt
Sides never played together and we looked great first half.
Lots of positives for us to work on

Awful , not enough up front , no credit to them
Re: Clarets v Rovers
3 days ago I'd have bitten your hand off for a point where we were unlucky not to get three. This team will gel and be there or there abouts at the end of the season UTC

Not sure why a draw is a good result because our owners decided to sell all our players at the last minute

Re: Clarets v Rovers
You can see why Benson has not managed to get a club to buy him, and surprise surprise got injured again. We do really need to practice our free kicks, Josh should be no where near them. Cant see why Egan Riley came on in preference to Humphreys

In the circumstances, that was okay.
Couple of weeks on the training ground will now do us good.

Agree, especially tough when they went down to 10 men.criminalclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:21 pmRovers have defended very well, Dyche levels of defending.
Always hard to break teams down who park the bus
Re: Clarets v Rovers
We have some good players to come back in as well. Might look better when Flemming is in the team.

Re: Clarets v Rovers
This is why I said the Flemming signing takes our window from a 4/10 to a 7/10 - we were crying out for a proper operator in that '10' /attacking midfield/second striker area.
There was no composure as soon as the ball got central outside their penalty area

Hopefully Zian will bring a bit of creativity because there wasn’t much on show today.Laurent looked quality in the holding role though.

Tresor would have scored today…

Re: Clarets v Rovers
Apart from the backheel, Brownhill put in an absolute stinker of a performance today - he's getting worse year on year.
Overall, some good intensity and good patterns of play, but nowhere near enough quality in the final third apart from the goal. Gotta feel a bit more positive after last weekend's debacle. **** look a decent outfit and will definitely be a top 10 side under Eustace.
Time to get some work in over the break.

Re: Clarets v Rovers
Those ******* free kicks around the box when we have everyone forward, ******* pathetic!!
However they haven't beaten us and it's essentially half a new team, we'll improve!

I struggled to work that one out. Isn't Humphrys left footed?warksclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:33 pmYou can see why Benson has not managed to get a club to buy him, and surprise surprise got injured again. Eustace sets them up well defensively. They'll be fine this year unfortunately
