I can't post the link, but if you go on TWTD, the independent Ipswich website, they're not at all impressed with Muric and would rather have Hladky.

Maybe this type of behaviour explains the reason he was dropped by VK. He certainly managed to sign some pretty bad characters. Hladky certainly seems to be a decent replacement.

Most likely because you saw the need to hijack the thread, about Muric's behaviour, to have yet another dig at James Trafford.

I'll remember Muric fondly for the amazing part he played in our championship winning season, but also in hindsight realising he did some howlers as well,Brighton being the worst of them. We were blessed with Heaton and Pope so it will take a long time for the memory of those two and the inevitable comparisons that will be made to fade.

Absolutely no good in a professional football team, buts that's bye the bye.

Awful attitude, turned up with a black eye one game, then he was hungover a different game.

Then he was splashing cash in a bar, days before an important game.

I believe he’s only played once for Ipswich and already made two laughable mistakes.

I think it fair to say that he lacks the level of discipline required at the top level of pro football. Like you say, a character.

Can’t disagree with this. Always a few heart in the mouth moments but his distribution from hands and feet in that Championship winning season did make the team tick.

Not sure what a lack of discipline has to do with how good or otherwise a footballer is. Let me think. Stan Bowles, Gazza, George Best and many many more.

How has this post been turned into anything about Trafford ?

If you’re going to look at Traffords performances then you need to also look at everyone else’s

Not even Nick pope , Tom Heaton or David Seaman’s Moustache would have kept us up last season with the tactics put in place ….

I’ll judge Trafford on this season…

Muric in the team was amazing. You didn’t know if he was going to pull off a world class save and immediately launch it up to a winger to score, or slip on a banana peel and bicycle kick the ball into his own net.

We were never boring when he was in the nets.

One things for certain Trafford comes across as a level headed guy, can’t image him being ill disciplined at club or country.

I really want Trafford to be successful this season, wasn’t his biggest fan last season because I thought muric was the better option but this reason rightly so Trafford is the number 1 and will only get better with confidence

I loved Muric precisely because he's a madman...

Heard some interesting stories regarding him and Darko mind alas, he's no longer a Burnley player and it's time to put those debates to bed and support the lads here.

Criticise him all you like, but he's playing Premier League football again this season. No idea what's gone on here, and he's clearly a moody sort, but we really need to stop rewriting history. As pointed out above, he made this team tick, and there's a reason the Ipswich scouting department recommended him.

When you hear the stories of Gazza and the likes, drinking before games, pranks etc etc. Do you smile, laugh, tut or feel disgust that you were paying money to watch them?

I watched Muric in our championship season and loved the drama and more often than not perfect out ball, his football made me smile.

My memory is intact and mention of his name will always bring that smile, especially as I think he may just be more bonkers than I am.

The interesting thing about some of the Gazza stories is that I remember some of them being told very differently by some of his England colleagues as his situation has changed over the years.

At the time: Told in a isn't-he-wacky context.
Years later: 'Looking back the signs were there, I remember thinking at the time this wasn't healthy behaviour'

Who knows how our season would have panned out if Muric had been number 1. Despite two, point costing howlers, in 2 of his 10 games we did average a point per game enough for safety had he kept that record over 38 games. In fact we averaged 0.5pts per game until Muric played
