Maybe it’s one we revisit in January if they’re looking somewhat doomed and we’re looking good for promotion.

Some of Plymouth's fans think he is sulking now. Don't think he played well yesterday.

I heard they accepted an offer from us, conditional on securing a replacement which they couldn’t sort on time.
The thought of him & Antony on either wing and Flemming/Sarmiento in the 10 is quite scary.

Interesting article in the athletic about the transfer window suggested that the Foster to Ipswich was set up by an intermediary. Sounds more like an agent saw an opportunity to make a deal and it didn’t come from the club, or Foster.
Or I’m incredibly naive and the club used an intermediary so they could deny it to Foster/fans if it didn’t work out!

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I saw an interview with Gary Rowett on Twitter the other day. He was talking about when we tried to get Flemming last time. I think he believes they should have let him go as it isn't fair to hold players back if they have the chance of Premier football. It was the owners that stopped it. I bet Whittaker is thinking about how much more he could be on and the better players he could be with to improve him.

We went for flemming early in the window last summer, had we of signed flemming last summer I don’t think we would of signed AmdouniCommy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 7:16 pmI saw an interview with Gary Rowett on Twitter the other day. I thought the exact same regarding going in for Whittaker in January, I can see it if we are in the top 6. Tresor and benson make way for Whittaker to comejedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:59 pmMaybe it’s one we revisit in January if they’re looking somewhat doomed and we’re looking good for promotion.

I think other than Sheff United no one else gets near that top 2 with us & Leeds. I think 85 will be enough for second.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 12:04 am90 points should make the top 2, going off the table below and I see it as a very even division with lots of draws. We will take some bedding in up front but our defence will always keep us in games, as they did at Sunderland.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Sunderland will struggle due to their lack of experience.
Sheff Utd look the main threat, with Leeds. Amazed they have both O Hare and Hamer, thought the latter would go.
As for Whittaker football is like a food chain, some of our players thought they could do better and have engineered moves, but the same works lower down. It means we get hungry players rather than grumpy ones. Every chance we get him in January because they could have a grumpy one like if we had kept, for example, Amdouni. I don’t think that is how to get players to perform.

I think Sunlan will fail to last the pace, too. I bet they're all getting excited up there, though.

Did JBL move anywhere in the window?
I know there were a few clubs looking at him. Really was hoping we might have made a final push for him but it wasn’t to be.

Just looked and no he didn't. Came on as a sub for Hoffenheim this weekend. Very surprised he didn't get a move anywhere.Guller Bull wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 3:21 pmDid JBL move anywhere in the window?

Nixon just posted on TiXXer "Roma in for Burnley backroom boy." Original story was Aug. 22, now "official." No idea what that's about and I'm not paying for his Patreon to find out - any ideas?

Heard a rumour we’ve signed a German player called Marlon Ritter . Midfielder. Maybe on a free or in January ??

I wouldn't mind Connelly coming in, always thought he looked decent at Hull.
We really lack any cover up front.

No idea about Praet though.

I would suggest that we will go back for Whittaker in January like we did for Flemming. He will have 6 months to sulk.

Sambo not named in 25 man squad, does that mean he’s got a loan moved lined up somewhere, seems strange to only have roberts as the proper right back in the squad

Reported that he was expected to go out on loan, when we named the squad, surely when you have 2 spots you register him anyway instead the loan move doesn’t happen, which it obviously hasn’t happened
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
If no loan happens, he just gets added to the squad, no drama123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 6:39 pmReported that he was expected to go out on loan, when we named the squad, surely when you have 2 spots you register him anyway instead the loan move doesn’t happen, which it obviously hasn’t happened

I’d take Connolly in the squad

Brandon Williams is still available can operate at right back, has been prominently a left back thus far in his career but at Ipswich he was mainly right sided . Still available on a free .

Looking forward to watching Flemming I have to admit . Give us a lot of options to change the midfield too. Something that we haven’t had in the centre of the park over the years

There was a trialist in the u21s game today at centre back.
Why would we sign cork now that we have :
Cullen
Brownhill
Hannibal
Massengo
Laurent
With Flemming a 10, and Tresor if he turns up, with Ramsey to come.
