Will be a 4th kit with the B logo replacing the Burnley logo.
I’ll get my popcorn out for this one. They’ve been quiet for a week.

My first though that it could be a esports kit or a specific away kit for the women’s team.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 6:08 pmWill be a 4th kit with the B logo replacing the Burnley logo.

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
It's something to do with the Pace 'B' by the looks of it
Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
Something to do with that awful B logo they've conjured up. B could be Burnley, Barnsley, Blackpool, Barrowford Celtic.

It's the Twix dynamic pricing coming in for the next home game.
At he height of the half time crush on the Longside Upper concourse the price is predicted to rise to £125.

It’ll be the Forman launch of the B logo, having subtly introduced it to date.
Looks like launch of the chairman’s cap to me.
I don’t mind it myself, providing it’s not to replace the crest on shirts.

I don’t think those caps are for sale yet, and the B in the image looks like it might be on a cap, so imagine it’s that.
Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
I like the B, it's not a new badge, just a new branding idea. I don't mind that.

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
The thing of posting out the date like that, the day before, is typically what MLS teams have done before their various 're-brands'.
Sometimes they have been full on re-brands - with a new team name but I doubt ALK are ready for that quite yet
So yeah, I'd bet on some sort of rebrand and merchandising around the 'B' with some associated 'community' thing attached to it so it doesn't look too much like a sales and marketing effort.

To be fair, they did the whole date thing on all the kit launches this year, but the fact they included the B this year will mean it’s something to do with that.forzagranata wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 8:07 pmThe thing of posting out the date like that, the day before, is typically what MLS teams have done before their various 're-brands'.

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
Me too, I think it has quite a nice clean look and would works better on certain merchandise than a badge.
On which note, I went in the club shop recently and some of the merchandise is so naff and cheap-looking it’s unbelievable.
I’m all for catering for every budget but outside of the Castore gear (which I thought was reasonably priced considering how expectations had been set), the offer is so bad.
When they signed that deal with Travis Matthews (or whoever it is), I really thought we’d be getting some good merchandise coming our way but it’s worse than ever. In which case any form of new brand is a bit irrelevant to me.

They’d have to consult with fans first, if it were a new badge.

The FAB will know. And it’s good, and you’ll
Love it, and they agreed it and okay’d it and approved it for the board who refused to do so without their input.
But they can’t say what.
But you’ll love it. They do.

An awful ‘rebrand’ if it’s using the B wider than just Pace’s cap.

Not at all and if I did and was I certainly wouldn’t go round giving it the big ‘un about knowing things when I had been told told not to mention anything.JarrowClaret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 9:09 pmYou seem bitter, you could have volunteered and then maybe you would know, approve and not be able to say anything about it as well!

Genuine question, is it possible to copyright a font?
Also, can you copyright a colour?, thinking specifically about the shade of Claret used in the season's home shirt.

Stop getting so worked up
The “B” isn’t replacing the badge, it’s just an alternative
So what if the “B” could be for anything else
How many times in the past have to been on holiday in a Burnley shirt and somebody mistaken it for Villa or Hammers, if anything it’s a conversation starter

Did anyone kick up such a stink when these replaced the badge on the shirt?
And there isn't even any suggestion that this 'B' will even be on the shirt.

We didn't have a club badge when the first of those two went on the shirt. It's not just the shirt though, the club badge seems to have been removed everywhere for this monochrome one.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:47 amStop being a drama queen.

The badge hasn't been removed though, has it? It's still the "monochrome one" is still the badge in essence. I prefer it to be honest, looks much more stylish. I can understand why folk are getting upset over 15 years of tradition being flushed down the toilet though.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:56 amWe didn't have a club badge when the first of those two went on the shirt.
