It would appear that it's not just, to quote Roy Keane, "the FAI who couldn't run a P1ss up in a brewery"

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
Seems a decent enough offer, I really don't see the point in moaning about it if its not of interest to you.
I wouldn't purchase it, its not my thing but I can see it being appealing to some.

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
The issue I see with the trendy 'B' branding is the number of clubs beginning with B which is probably the most numerous of all letters. Just in the Premier League we have Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth. In the EFL we even have two as two of our main local rivals along with a load of others. The key with a brand is to identify it and if someone was walking through London, New York or Shanghai nobody would have a clue who it referred to. The only clue is the colour scheme but that isn't enough.
I like the JJ Watt hats and bought two. I won't be buying any B ones though (assuming that is the limited edition hat referred to in the membership of course).

Good Idea for people that like this kind of thing
If you don't like it , you don't have to buy it
But £25 for some Mum's and Dad's to be able to say to their kid that their name is on the tunnel when the players walk out will be priceless to some ...

Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
It's fine like. It should have been obvious to anyone that if they had anything interesting to announce they would have just done it without a delay. And seems a pretty good offer for kids to be fair. But a bit tacky really.

Got to move with the times, to grow, we have to market the club and "razzamataz" sells! I'm all for it as long as we are successful on the pitch and plenty of money is continually invested back into the playing staffClaret Till I Die wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:28 pmI'm not sure who has come up with this idea but they really do need to understand football isn't about razzmatazz

The owners of this club/business do not need to ask you, me or the rest of us what they want to do with the badge, crest style, the colour of the kit or the name of the ground and so on, they own it not us they've no need to consult us at all like what you suggested earlier in this thread, if they want to call us yankie doodle Burnley next season make the players wear a stars and stripes kit whilst playing football at the Quarter pounder stadium they can and they don't need your permissionClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 4:04 pmI’m a clown now am I? Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
That's fair enough. But any supporters of any other club in the country would feel aggrieved if the badge was changed without any heads up, consultation or polling. Really surprises me how many Burnley fans just aren't arsed about a significant part of the club changing. People have one crest tattooed on their calves and no-one's bothered it was changed overnight. Just seems odd to me.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 4:19 pmThe owners of this club/business do not need to ask you, me or the rest of us what they want to do with the badge, crest style, the colour of the kit or the name of the ground and so on, they own it not us they've no need to consult us at all like what you suggested earlier in this thread, if they want to call us yankie doodle Burnley next season make the players wear a stars and stripes kit whilst playing football at the Quarter pounder stadium they can and they don't need your permission

Not agreeing with the tone of the post in any way, but he/she is correct that owners can do what they want, however unpopular that is. Was it Cardiffs owners who changed the kit etc?. Re: Cryptic tweet on Twitter
We’ve moved on. Cardiff were forced to switch back to blue, MK was against rules then but they got away with it although they wouldn’t now. The owners of Hull tried to change the club name. Moshiri changed to Everton badge but was eventually forced to back track.Row x wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 5:31 pmNot agreeing with the tone of the post in any way, but he/she is correct that owners can do what they want, however unpopular that is. Owners cannot do as they like and once the regulator is in place it will be much more difficult for them.
