What are we waiting for?
Yellow for what? Only Hannibal getting one?

Definite penalty.
We've got away with one there.

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
If want it if it was us, but 50/50 really. We were lucky there’s no VAR as they’d definitely give that
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Have they? From what I'd read they'd been renowned for controlling games with low tempo possession

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Leeds commentators said it was a pen unsurprisingly. I’ve seen them given. I thought the Leeds player was offside initially anyway
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Usually I'd be upset if he got injured, but the international break is over....
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
That was a stonewall penalty for me.
Ampadu was trying to stick one on Hannibal then so serves him right if he picks up an injury.

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
It'd be great if we had Jack Cork on the bench, we could move Brownhill into Hannibals role and bring Hanniball of before he gets sent off. We'd then be more comfortable in possession with Cork. Bizarre decision to give him a coaching role instead.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Pen for me. Hannibal keeps you on the edge of your seat doesn’t he. Needs the be careful here the crowd are onto him.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
He did. Went between the players legs but got the ball cleanly for me.

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Close one, I dont think Worrall has the right to challenge for the ball from there. He did get some of the balls through the attackers legs, but in the prem I think that gets given

just hope Hannibal can calm down
he really looks like a red card waiting

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Agree with this. A silly booking and now a red is very likely given the crowd pressure from here on in.willsclarets wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 1:10 pmHannibal is going to be a liability at some point.

Great time for a second goal now.
Come on, Burnley.

VAR frequently gets things wrong.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
100%.
Need a bit more control in the middle. Push Brownhill further up.

Problem there is hannibal is doing a good job near flemming. Excellent knockdown for Anthony's shot too. Suppose brownhill could push on a bit.

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Got to reach HT with this lead.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
But any ref wouldn't. Properly seen as a normal interception, whereas the e examining of entrails by VAR would say touch of player before touch of ball. Pen. Rubbish. Not football.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Fleming has become largely anonymous the last 20 mins.
Need to get to HT.

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
I guess the ref is going to give every marginal decision to this DL side.
Do we think Hannibal plays the full 90, sees red or we pull him off to save him?

This ref is desperate to get these cards out
What a tit

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
This ref is crumbling. We need to get another goal early in the second half because he's going to give them everything from here.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Worrall should know better

Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Can’t believe how much the ref is giving them and these yellows may be telling in the second half.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Worral too alert then.
Re: DL v Clarets Match Thread
Worrall booked because the ball hit his hand as he was falling over??!
