Burnley Football Songs Question
As some will probably know I don't go on the games anymore so have a question about the songs our fans sing. On TV the Burnley fans always seem very quiet so its hard to make out what they are singing but wondered if we sing any songs about Mr Pace?
We obviously have songs for the players and the manager but with Mr Pace being so involved and feeling like a proper fan I thought we may have a song for him. Is that the case and if not do people think getting a song going for him would be a good idea?
On a side note there was a Portsmouth song yesterday that sounded really good that maybe we could pinch. Couldn't make it out properly but it sounded quite original and went something like "Hello Portsmouth, Portsmouth hello"

2. Play Up Pompey. Pompey Play Up
They have sung that since at least the war!

I feel like he could have been close to having a chant before the deadline. But it’s a no from me. We’ve never really sang about previous chairman’s so why start now.

I know we aren't alone in this but all we seem to get now is generic chants that every club sings.

Exactly mate. The songs we sing a pretty crap. Sang far too quick. No rhythm at all, we just rob all of Liverpool’s songs anyway.

Um ba ba gets a few renditions here and there still….decent one at Luton this season.blatherwickstattoos wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 8:25 pmYes it was really good. Variety of songs and the Jimmy mullens claret and blue army used to go on forever. Um ba ba, take my hand take my whole life too, etc

Anyone remember the Mexican Waves in the Mullen era? An excellent site seeing it sweep the Longside from my CF stand seat.
Not the most PC but ‘Who are all the pies’ is another one I was reminded of the other week that was prevalent in those days.
I do think there is scope for some of our older ones to make a resurgence similar to ‘Lancashire Home’.
‘Forever and ever’ and ‘Come/Go (?) Ewood’ get rare airings but get the majority of the away crowd involved.

Re: Burnley Football Songs Question
Anyone remember when Steve davis , Liam Robinson and I think one more shaved their heads and the longside sang you are my sunshine with “you’ll never take my skin head away” must have 93 ish. I Miss the longside it was brilliant
Re: Burnley Football Songs Question
Don't we have a song for our leader, Josh Brownhill?
Re: Burnley Football Songs Question
There's tonnes of absolute tap ins/nabs that we could and should be on with if we can't be arsed coming up with anything original for some of our newer lads or older boys that don't have anything decent.
It's magic, yknow, Sarmiento.
(To the tune of aha by abba)
Manuel Benson, aha,
(Benson) Running down the wing, aha
(Benson)Hear the clarets sing, aha
(Benson) We're gonna win the league
Woke up this morning feeling fine
Got Burnley FC on my mind,
Parkers got the clarets playing the way they should
Something tells me the clazzerts are onto something good
(In the style of Made of Stone by stone roses)
'he's our Lyle, he’s our African scoring genius, with a 24 inch penis, scoring all our goals, bellend by his toes.
You just have to WANT it lads
