Why would they not want cheaper prices for their fans away from home?

That's exactly why they should be taking up reciprocal deals - to help their own fans.

They should yes. Happy to take advantage of their own fans loyalty so they can extort visiting fans however it seems.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 11:16 amThat's exactly why they should be taking up reciprocal deals - to help their own fans.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Doesn’t take much to put an email up on the website
I was away Monday - Tuesday and in a bad signal area but tried to get into my account to get some tickets ….
No away game options on the ticketmaster section so I thought it must be my crap signal not letting me log in properly
Drove miles to a WiFi point to try and sort it only, still the same … decided to look at ticket dates to confirm it was deffo Monday they went on sale (which it did)
Nothing to state anything different ….
So I’ve just left it and thought I must have missed out on tickets
Only reading this topic have I found out it’s now next Monday !!!!
What would it take to write a quick message on the website ?
Shocking really that there is no one at the club that has the mindset to spend such little time to keep fans informed

Russell Ball is still tied up with his big project on why the catering bars are running out of milk on matchdays for the hot drinks. Big job, no time to keep supporters engaged on matters that actually involve buying tickets effectively to attend games and prices and timescales. The Shire Claret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 7:45 pmDoesn’t take much to put an email up on the website

I know. That's why I said not quite as bad in the context of what Sheff Wed charge.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2024 8:24 pmCardiff offered a lower figure of £25 which we declined. We are charging some away fans £35.
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Of course it is as bad. My point was our owners are equally as bad as Sheff Weds by not offering reciprocal deals for our away support.
It’s not about Sheffield charging £4 more than we will charge them, it’s the fact that Alan Pace and co don’t appear to care about Burnley fans having to pay above the odds to attend away games.
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Did Sheffield offer us any such agreement?Jamesy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:15 amOf course it is as bad. My point was our owners are equally as bad as Sheff Weds by not offering reciprocal deals for our away support.

Hull tickets seem reasonable

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Does the away section at Hillsborough still include the upper tier of the Leppings Lane End and do Wednesday still have the arrangement whereby away fans who prefer to sit can be situated at the front? I seem to recall that was the case last time I watched us there.
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Yes, it is the Upper Tier, although we have an option to take an additional allocation and not sure if this is also in the Upper or in the Lower. Can't answer your question about sitting at the front.the_magic_rat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 2:10 pmDoes the away section at Hillsborough still include the upper tier of the Leppings Lane End and do Wednesday still have the arrangement whereby away fans who prefer to sit can be situated at the front? Its not allowing me to buy a junior ticket as it's saying they're age restricted. Never been an issue before. Is there anyone else having the same problem?

Looks like you can now only purchase a ticket for the same age category as the ST holder that you're using.Claret Till I Die wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 10:20 amIts not allowing me to buy a junior ticket as it's saying they're age restricted. Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I am trying for an away for the first time under TicketMaster.
Won’t let me buy a junior against an adult (who is not attending) clarets number, never had a problem before. Is this going to be a permanent block on my switching around which family member to take on (I could have paid for an adult ticket for the kiddie of course which is fine for the rich)? Guessing yes, which would wreck my whole away game supporting time (can’t leave a kid on their own at home).
Follow on question - do they need some kind of Junior membership clarets number to assign it too?

He bought Oxford tickets the other week without this issue so clearly a new bug.
Says that you need a date of birth to purchase age restricted tickets. However, if you go into the "Edit Profile" section although there is a blank space for DOB there is no way of entering one ...
Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've forwarded a copy of this onto the TO.aggi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 10:35 amMy dad has the same issue with Over 65 tickets.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
Looks like they’ve put it on so people don’t buy a “cheaper ticket” coz of Wednesdays ridiculous pricing.
Tried for the hull game for comparison and it would allow me to purchase an U12 ticket without any hassle.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've had exactly the same problem this morning. I thought I'd change it to an adult ticket and then go and sort it but once you have selected a concession, you can't change the category. Fortunately I was able to get through on the phone after around 20 minutes and bought them that way.aggi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 10:35 amMy dad has the same issue with Over 65 tickets.

Why my DOB wasn't in there I don't know because I know my season ticket automatically switched when I went past 65. But it wasn't and, as aggi said, you can't add it. The ticket office have now added my DOB.

Brad - Did you manage to get a seating plan for Hull tickets?

No it hasn't allowed me a seating plan for Hull. I had to check via the view from my seat website to try and obtain a rough idea

Go on the “view my seat” website, type in the stadium then on the right side it allows you to put blocks in. Hopefully gives you a rough indication of where your sat etc. that’s what I tend to do if there’s no seating plansGranny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 10:53 amI cant get a seating plan, hanging fire to see if one appears as i was auto allocated FF and not sure if that is at the front or the back!

I was in the same boat and similar to yourself waited in the phone queue for around 20 minutes, from position 11 downwards.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 10:44 amI've had exactly the same problem this morning. The lady who I spoke to in the ticket office told me that Sheffield Wednesday had asked them to be very strict regarding sales of age related tickets.
I don't know why my date of birth wasn't on my account, and as mentioned above I couldn't add it myself.
The ticket office have now done this for me and so I have been able to buy a ticket.

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
It won't let you change or add your own date of birth. I seem to remember that was changed on the orders of Lee Hoos when he believed adults were buying junior tickets by changing their own DOB. I've no idea why my DOB wasn't on there, it used to be.Targetman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 11:28 amI was in the same boat and similar to yourself waited in the phone queue for around 20 minutes, from position 11 downwards.

Looks like we’ve sold about 1000 looking at the seat map.

I left a message . A guy phoned me back and I again told him my problem
He transferred me and 8 ended up in a telephone queue of ten
I eventually got through to a very helpful young lady
She changed my date of birth and waited on the line to check that I could order my tickets

Re: 2024/25: Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'm beginning to wonder whether it's worth the aggravation of getting away tickets. Up until yesterday I never had any problems getting my over 65 or a junior ticket if I wasn't going for one of my grandchildren. To put 'the cherry on top' my wife's points tally has dropped from 2,400 to 1,970 since the Leeds game
Like other's have said, it's not the ticket office at fault here but someone higher up needs to make it a more seamless process, not hit and miss.
