Home ticket upgrade

Post by ICL » Mon Sep 23, 2024 1:31 pm

How you upgrade your home ticket has changed.
Previously, to change my Over 65 ticket to an adults (for my daughter-in-law), I went down to the ticket office, paid the difference and they printed me out a new ticket.
Now the system has gone wholly on-line and you must do the upgrade through your ticket account. BUT the on-line system has not yet been put in place, so you can’t actually do it. The ticket office didn’t realise this, until I went down there this morning to show them the problem.
I believe, when in place, the new system will require you to:
Select the match ticket you want to upgrade
Give the details of who the ticket is going to (ie they must have a Claret number)
The person receiving the ticket will get some sort of notification (I guess)
They then pay the difference in ticket price
The ticket is then sent to them

However, they’ve now discovered the website hasn’t been updated to allow for this process. Hopefully it will be by midweek :|

I managed to upgrade mine for the Portsmouth game early last week and all went exactly as you described.

For away games, I also found out today that your DoB needs to be entered into the new eTicketing (Ticketmaster) system, otherwise the Ticket will be issued as an Adult category only. So if you're in another age category, ensure your DoB is entered into the system. Ticket Office can assist with this if needed.

The website has been updated. I’ve successfully sent my PNE ticket to my daughter-in-law.

Tried to get my dad a ticket for PNE this evening. I had to create him an account, including entering his DOb, then it wouldnt let me buy an over 65 ticket on his profile.

In the end a friend bought one on his Dad's account.

Its just bad

My over 65 friend has managed to assign his season ticket to me for next two games but when I try to upgrade it to adult so I can use it, it will only let me reassign it to someone else. Any tips? Did he need to upgrade it first?

I was told on Monday they were writing instructions up, but I couldn’t find any.
The process seems to be:
In manage tickets, select the ticket
Select Upgrade Tickets
In the drop-down box, select class to upgrade (Adult £11 in this case)
Select Assign Recipient
Select the recipient from your network
It will then ask you to review order
It then shows order summary and a cost of £0
Select T&C
Select Complete Purchase

The ticket then appears in the recipient’s account and they pay the money to activate it.
Hope this helps

You may find that the upgrade option is greyed out. In that case choose forward to a friend - search in inside or outside your network for the person you want to send it to and assign the ticket to them

I've just upgraded my dad's ticket for the Plymouth and PNE game. Assigned the ticket to my wife's new clarets number account and processed it.

When I log into my wife's ticket account it says "1 notification for forwarded tickets" and when you click on it, it then says "You do not have any forwarded tickets"

Classic Burnley

It has come through now, I was just being impatient.

Seems like a an efficient system if and when it works.

Tried to upgrade childs to adult season ticket for the Portsmouth game. No joy online. Rang ticket office, was told by young lady that she had no idea what to suggest. Somehow ended up downloading adult ticket at no extra cost to myself. Happy days.
