I think the main reason the grumbles were about on Saturday were when we’d pass the ball from Trafford to a defender to another defender then back to Trafford to lump it upfield anyway. We wasted loads of time doing this but luckily we got the injury time to finally score

Fully agree.

Some of the fans would be served well with a 1980's reality check, God forbid we should ever revisit those bad old days again but at least they would really have something to moan about.

Aww, it's hard is it?

Well tell that to the ******* opposition?

Brownhill needs to grow some stones. Captain? Of the Good Ship Lollipop?

And this isn't the 80s anymore. And we aren't some tin pot **** poor football club about to go out of business. We're probably the richest in the league with a vast wealth of experience, who should be fighting for a spot in the best league in the world. If this is too much to accept for some people (players included) maybe it's time to go somewhere else.

Yes, but we won't win every game, and we won't play well every game either.
Also , doesn't matter where we are in the table or where the opposition are, we aren't entitled to beat anyone. We have to earn every point. Portsmouth tried to do what we did to Leeds and just failed.
We tried to do what Leeds tried to do. Leeds failed. We succeeded.

Club representatives, both playing and non-playing staff, finding it a little too easy to have a go at the paying support recently imo.

He's entitled to say what he wants, as fans are to moan.

But if the clubs captain says it's not helping, perhaps he knows slightly better than those sat moaning

He certainly seems to have touched a nerve with some, maybe they like to moan and criticise but not be on the receiving end themselves

When one of the loudest cheers of the day is a sarcastic one for our own centre back playing a 25 yard pass I think Brownhill is probably right to have a bit of a moan about the fans.
Which centre half was sarcastically cheering whilst he was supposed to be playing football?!

I see both sides.
Everyone was talking about Portsmouth's away record but they were in league 1 last season ofc they have a good away record and they have played well in their games so far, but they are still a newly promoted side the fans expect us to do better against. We were playing 2 tiers higher then them last season even if it's only a few of our players left from that season.

However openly whining about it to the point where it effects the players is bad too. I think we need to channel that energy into some positivity and cheer them on instead.

I think staying tight against them was the best decision, it didn't work out for Leeds attacking them so we needed to be more careful. Sometimes the games you don't expect can be the hardest when teams sit back and play on the counter attack.

Lemme tell you a couple, three things.

Frankly, I'm depressed and ashamed. He's supposed to be a leader, that's why he's got the top tier position.

He never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

Brownhill? It's a ******* nickname. The family name is "Bukit Coklat"

Agreed, they should look at our attendances 10-15 years ago and thank their lucky stars that we currently get near full houses most weeks.

Asking for a bit of patience towards a new system, players and manager turns into "having a go at". Daft.

What's "daft" is taking the Brownhill point in isolation and not interpreting the wider point I was making about other comments previously made too.

And if you do want to take the point in isolation, I think fans have shown remarkable restraint at the Turf over the past season or so, particularly in games where a number of players hid, not least the captain.

6 games in, what do you really have to moan about?

This is it really. If he says it's not helping, then it's not. As a fan you have a choice, ignore him because you pay your money. Or try and support the team without moaning if we pass it sideways. Whether you agree with browny saying that to the fans, doesn't change the truth of it.

We’re currently on over 2 points per game from arguably the toughest set of fixtures of all the teams so far.

I wonder how Josh feels this morning because there was definitely some frustration shown from the Claret's following yesterday, it was justified as well.
