Poor miss from Foster to not even be remotely close to hitting the target from around a yard outside the 6 yard box
So 7 yards out then?

Why are we strolling around like we’re 5-0 up?

Where’s the intensity?

In the first half an hour, Foster has blasted over from 8 ywrds with an extremely presentable chance and just now elected to shoot when he could've played in two others.
I only saw it the once but defender looked like to be getting in his way to turn. Don't think it was as clear cut.

The second he could have cut back and didn't, will give you that.

I think slow & patient is the plan & let the opposition loose concentration & capitalise.

There is a reason Oxford are 100%, before today, at home. They are well drilled.

"Pragmatic" I think if the footballing term. Which we knew all along when Parker came so no great suprise. It's results that matter.

Our final product is as blunt as a rusty spoon so far this game. Foster, Sariemento, Brownhill making meals of chances.

Pretty shite so far.

We’re the Man City/Arsenal/Liverpool of this league in terms of expenditure and we need to start showing it soon.

Id expect a striker of top end championship quality to be getting a shot on target from 8 yards out from a daisy cutter of a pass coming on to his favourite foot.

Parker has said he wants us to move the ball quicker, I see his style as more Liverpool than City to put it that way. Just not happening yet consistently.

But all teams nowadays try not to just sling the ball in the box long. It rarely works. But a high tempo does.

If we play to our strengths with the players we have we should smash these, it's all about setting the team up to win , don't get me wrong if we win with these tactics all good but I'm an inpatient fan and I worry if we away a sloppy goal as last week the gameplan has to change to get back in the game , when you could of just set up differently from the start , just seems another wasted half

Definitely a homer of a ref. Also need to get Foster more into the game, they're defending well but aside from him missing from 7 yards out, he's been absent again today.

Foster poor
Hannibal poor
Brownhill poor

Other eight doing well against a bang average Oxford

No pace to the game allowing Oxford to hold us quite easily - thank god they don't look to have a goal in themselves also

I might be in the minority but I thought we played pretty well that half. Still not the finished article but some decent moments.

Let's remember Brownhills words from last week, this game feels like we are just waiting for the right chance.

just somewhat slow in build up and especially the defense splitting passes have not come off, hopefully there will be a little more energy in the second half

To be honest I don't think Oxford will get an easier half of football, far too laboured from us
