The game is lacking quality and we are just not quite gelling.

I’m on Birdy today not a TV link so can someone tell me are Oxford sitting back like Pompey or are we pinning them in? I thought they were meant to be quite attacking.

Watch it here mate, some real drama queen's on here.
Admittedly we've not created much but it's been all Burnley, we are away from home, to a side who are happy to sit back

We should be pasting these
7 shots to Burnley Vs there 0. Neither of our shots are in target.

Can't beat teams if you aren't clinical in front of goal.

Humphries looks promising, not scared to step out from the back which we've missed this season so far

Controlled the game just need a bit of spark. Hannibal started the last 5 mins. Foster looks isolated up top.

They will hopefully tire and we will step it up in the second half so we should get some decent chances. Or am I living in hope.

Oxford have set out to defend. And they've dont it very well.

I think we've played some decent football but there's not been that cutting edge. It's true that Foster desperately needs a goal and/or a man alongside him.

Trafford's kicking is poorer than, Nick's? Sorry but it's true.

Cullen playing well switching from side to side.

Hannibal involved but less wildman.

Need to be patient but careful because they're no mugs. Rodrigues looks a decent player.

We're good off the ball against this lot, smothering them, closing them down, not allowing them to play. It's a good intensity. Would hope to see a bit more intensity from us after the break when we have the ball.

Harrington has no clue. Not fit for non league. Oxford just sitting back and trying to nick a goal. Painful to watch. 69% possession for us and 7-0 shots but as usual 0 on target. Trafford with the usual poor distribution. Sarmiento getting fouled a lot. Shocking miss by Foster.

What would you like them to do when playing against a team that doesn't have the ability/doesn't want to go out of their own half?

It's the exact same script as games against lower half Championship teams under VK.

I think we've been alright, certainly look a cut above Oxford but we have to start testing their keeper. Patience needed.

Going to be plenty of these games. Oxford's aim is to stick 11 men behind the ball and maybe catch a goal on the counter.

I am sure we had these type of games last time. There were quite a few teams we struggled to break down but scored late on due to tiring them out.

Absolutely bossing it and had a few chances, just need to keep plugging away and as they tire exploit the space down the channels.
Oxford will only score if we go to sleep knocking it around the back!

Very disappointed with Oxford; thought they'd be much better following a decent start, but they look truly useless with the ball and League One standard.

We will just continue to have games like this all season because of our lack of attacking threat from full back, lack of a creative central player and wingers who are at best inconsistent.

But our transfer window was great apparently

We miss Roberts massively. He pushes on and offers a threat in the attacking third.

The 2nd half will see them tiring, bringing on subs of a lesser quality whilst we freshen up with players who would have been fine if they started. That's how the game last week changed in our favour and it will be the same this week, hopefully, and for many games this season probably.
