Clarets+

Post by cl40 » Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:55 am

Watched my first game of the season yesterday on Clarets +
Have to say I was a bit disappointed, no replays and no co-commentator with Phil Bird. Is this the case every game?

I’m sure I read that Phil now does the away games from the comfort of a cupboard and doesn’t actually attend them

The lack of replays will be down to the host club/provider

Believe me, no co-commentator can be a massive positive.

If, for some reason, Phil Bird doesn't attend the away matches, then that is a poor show.

Whatever happened to justice?

The lack of replays was strange as you could see them being played on the big screen behind the goal and it seemed Phil Bird had access to them.

Yesterday was alright by Phil Bird standards. Even he couldn't be dramatic about the performance.

I didn't have to change over to the other teams commentary for a change.

He didn't attend the away games last season either. I'd suspected so but when we played at Luton and the Sky cameras almost missed our winner from JBL, he actually commented a few days later that it was only from seeing some highlights that he'd actually seen the build up to the goal for the first time.

I didn't realise you could watch games that aren't on SKY. How much is it? The website is just offering me audio of yesterday for £2.50.

You can only watch if you’re outside of the uk or have alternative methods

I watched the game on my IPTV yesterday and it was obvious Phil Bird wasn’t in the ground. Didn’t make for good viewing/listening.

Is it a cost cutting exercise or infrastructure reason?
