It isn't Parkers fault for the options he has available up front.
We played some good football but Foster isn't.offering anything
Where have I blamed Parker?

I can’t understand this. Is it his fault Sarmiento, Foster and Houndontji all didn’t ‘work the keeper’ by missing the target with their massive chances?
I'm not so sure Foster had a massive chance. I think he had a half a chance if that.

There were plenty of frustrating draws in the first few games two seasons ago.

I think we'll get better, we do need to come up with a plan though against teams that will put 10 men behind the ball because it'll happen plenty of times
Only differences two seasons ago is that the football was far more attractive and we had the likes of Maatsen and Tella in the side and 2 wingers who were on top of their games, and when Beyer was fit he used to stroll through the opposition’s midfield.

Beyer didn’t game into the team until game 9, we are on game 6. There were a lot of grumbles about style of play early doors that season. You are having a selective memory thinking of Burnley mainly in the 2nd half of that season.

Was it more attractive? We did an awful lot of passing it across the back, especially at the beginning of the season. Those early games were awful and I nearly fell asleep against Watford at home. People forget that we also struggled then against teams that dug in.

I wouldn't call them massive chances at all.

But he could have all the forwards practicing chances like that in training if that's all they will get.

They were perhaps the worst team I've seen in the Championship.
They were 10th this morning. Good home record and we played them off the park.
Far, far better performance than last week.

Sarmiento should have at least hit the target. Hountondji's chance looked more like he wasn't expecting it and just stuck his boot out. He might not have seen the ball coming to him with players in the way.

Hountondji’s chance was enormous. Sarmiento has the entire net to hit and skies it. Foster’s was half a chance I’d accept. But ‘have them practicing chances in training’ - come on now.

Great point away from home. Dominated the game against a team who sat back all game after winning first 3 home games. We had chances to win it. What’s wrong with people
a team who sat back all game after winning first 3 home games, Because they decided that trying to scrape a point against the best team in the division was their best option; that's what they planned/played for and they should rightly be overjoyed at achieving it. As someone pointed out earlier, that's exactly what we did under Dyche in the Premiership and you can't blame Oxford for doing the same; get used to it, that's what most opponents will be trying to do this season.

So we're struggling to score goals... Never mind, those will come. This Burnley side will continue to improve, though whether they'll be good enough to survive in the Premiership by season's end is certainly debatable; but I have no doubt that we're going to get to find out as that's where we'll be playing next season and probably having arrived there as Championship winners.

I agree partly with what your saying but seem to remember we had some really entertaining home games against the likes of Blackpool and a few other drawn games early on and though disappointed when we only drew came off having really enjoyed the matches which I’m sure that many fans agree that 5 out of the 7 games this season have been pretty turgid affairs.

5 player's there, I'd say that's quite a difference, but very true also.

We were better today, so it's funny seeing people who praised us last week complaining today.

We still are too slow and don't create enough but we were getting into positions for cut backs which is what you need if you're going to be a team that dominates possession against low blocks (just think about how many goals we used to concede from cut backs against the likes of City). Now if we can consistently create those, get better at providing options to the winger when they hit the byline and sustain pressure with them by putting some kind of quicker build up patterns then we'll be laughing.

What we saw today was how much more effective Koleosho looked on the left. I think we're wasting him on the right. Let Anthony, Sarmiento and Agyei battle it out for the right wing and play our best winger in his best position.

Agree with all of that. I always found it weird we signed 2x left wingers when Luca is the best left winger at the club. Then you’ve got Tresor who also plays off the left.

Very simply we controlled the game oxford had 11 men behind the ball . We had 3 very good chances and missed the target completely. I can see us improving game by game .. a 20 goal a season striker is still required.. but there is progress.. we will also definitely get better. Just need to work out how we beat the 11 men behind the ball tactic managers will deploy against us.. as it wont be the last this season

We don't have to just lump it in there - there's whipped/low deliveries, balls to the back stick for fullbacks/wingers - all sorts.

Oxford fan here in peace.

We’re really pleased with that point and we had to work hard to get it. I reckon our tactics were frustrating for you but we had a game plan and we stuck to it.

Your number 30 on the right is a bit special. At times it looked like you had more players than us as your movement and pace were so good. I hope you go up to be honest. You have been by far the best team we have played this season.

Also a quick thank you to your fans. We lost one of our fans to mental health issues and did an announcement and presentation about him at half time. Your fans were class in your response. Thank you.

Sorry the Kassam Stadium is such a **** hole.

Firstly, thanks for the comments.

Secondly, and more importantly, it is heartbreaking to hear about your supporter who has taken his life. As the announcer said, it is ok not to be ok.

All the best for the season - it's good to see different teams making their way (back) up the pyramid. It'll be tough for you but I think you may have enough to see yourself safe, your manager certainly seems switched on. PS - cheers for stuffing Bolton at Wembley!

Thanks fellas.

The Wembley victory against Bolton was unbelievable. What a day. Des, our manager, is a local lad and we’re just about ready to put a statue up to him. Oxford is a cracking club and genuinely represents our community. Very proud of our club.

Genuinely all the best for the rest of the season. You are a great club with brilliant history. The majority of Premiership clubs wish they had the class you do.

Some very disrespect comments towards Oxford on here.
Just a few months ago we were two divisions apart and you have a budget that absolutely dwarfs ours.
You're expected to be back in the premier league next season. We've been tipped by everyone to finish 24th.
Yes we played for a point. Yes we're extremely happy with that point. Was it an entertaining game? No. Do we care? No. Because we'd won 3 out of 3 at home before today. Playing good football and dominating for large periods. So as fans we can accept this kind of game plan against the real big fish in the league.
Everyone has come away from Oxford saying "we should be beating teams like Oxford", but at some point you will all start to realise we're not a bad side under our very impressive, young, Oxford-born manager.

Averaging two points per game. We missed two gilt-edged chances. If we'd won 2 nil and played no better, people on here would be wild with delight. We will go up automatically, along with Leeds.

Scott Parkers hair is immaculate.
Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. Its always nice to read constructive comments about your team from the opposing team's fans. Good luck this season-enjoy it.

Fully agree with you, a number of our fans have become very entitled, it’s a shame.

I agree also but remember it's a minority. Most sensible supporters here will realise you have every right to play in a way that gets you a result. Our club has taken such an approach countless times in recent years. There's nothing wrong with it - it's cutting the cloth accordingly - and it's pure arrogance to the look down the nose in such a way.

Hountondji’s chance was enormous. Sarmiento has the entire net to hit and skies it. Foster’s was half a chance I’d accept. But ‘have them practicing chances in training’ - come on now.
Fosters was the biggest chance of all three

Yes, agree with that mate. Oxford worked their socks off for the point.
We do not have a god given right to beat the so-called smaller teams.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Yes you're right we don't have a god given right to beat team's like Oxford but when you think we paid more for Trafford than Oxford have probably spent in their entire transfer history it's a little frustrating.

It is frustrating AC, but imagine what DL felt like when they left Oxford with zero points?

Oxford adjusted their gale as to who they were playing and it paid off for them- they didn't lose.

I’m sure they’re not deliberately being disrespectful to your club. As far as I’m concerned we very much remember our place as a town club central to its community which attempts to rattle just a few of the big boys every now and then, who think they’ve a divine right to be a “top 6” superclub with unlimited funds to fill their squad with internationals…………Yesterday at Oxford was how footy should be, fans supporting their local club………a team trying to establish itself having just been promoted………against a team recently in The Prem…...and yes, what a cracker it was against Bolton………even had me cheering!! Best of luck for the rest of season, particularly against that mob just down the road from us.
