Strange league the Championship. We can't get a goal past Oxford, Luton who have looked woeful this season are now two up against Oxford.

Foster'll get slagged off for that lob, no doubt.

Final ball appalling tonight but so much else is fantastic.

That is our challenge this season. Overcome that we win the league.

I worried about wanting them to come at us but we will definitely score again, if we are measured and not forcing passes.

Foster had an unlucky shot but his pull-back to the edge of the area was poor.

Still looking distictly the better team.

If we could just get that final ball right, we would be coasting. Some good build up play though

Koleosho has got to work on his final pass/Cross. At the moment it's pretty poor.

Doing really well till the final ball then it's breaking down because that ball is so poor.

Good half. Koleosho on the right becoming a problem for us. His lack of footballing intelligence is really showing today. Needs to play on the left

A bit disjointed again in the final third again, but a good half other than that... Hannibal wins a ton back, gets through some serious work.

So frustrating
One up through a pen but loads of better wasted opportunities through terrible final balls
Koleosho just runs inside to a waiting group of Pompey players just about every time he has the ball

Positives:
The defence looks very strong.
The midfield unit has been impressive and has allowed us to completely dominate
We’ve pressed exceptionally well to win the ball back

Negative:
The final ball is really bad. Pires, Koloesho, and Foster have wasted so many excellent moves.

I really don't think you can call somebody "awful "after that half . It's just the final ball that's missing.

Excellent first-half other than we didn't get a second. They were rocking big-time for about ten minutes.

Much better from Foster.

Cullen, Pires, Hannibal all very good.

And Luca's in another league.

My stream's from the Argyle OS and the co-commentator said at the start their left-back could be a weak link. Well, he is save one excellent tackle in the box.

They play good football and we need a second.

Hannibal easily MOTM so far.

Still very disjointed in that final third, which I still think comes from a lack of understanding and not knowing what runs are going to be made.

My only nervousness is if we don’t spend enough time on attacking sequences in training. It feels at times like the players don’t know where to go. But hopefully that will come.

Energy, desire, defensive shape, ball recovery, pressing - all outstanding.

I don’t think he is linking up well with Anthony at all. I like him as a player but don’t see how some think he’s been good this half. As soon as Anthony gets the ball or drifts inside you’d think he would be hugging the touch line.

Need to sort our final ball/finishing out and we'll hammer this lot. Frustrating but it'll take time with so many new players.

Full-backs pushing forward a bit more, which is good to see, and giving Plymouth more headaches as we have more attacking options. Quality is seriously lacking in the final 3rd, but much the better side. We should win this, but just need to be wary on the counter as there is quite a lot of space to exploit.

A surprisingly high line from Plymouth is giving us loads of opportunities to play in behind them but we need to take advantage of it. Much easier to break down this kind of defence than the majority of teams who will come here and set up like Oxford did on Saturday.
