Stuffing Imminent
Stuffing Imminent
Somebody is going to get pasted this season
Is tonight another Cardiff?
Hopefully there is a rocket up the arse of some of these potential premier league players to put these to the sword - and push on into Saturday against another bum team, with another big win
We've seen flashes - i just hope we can start destroying sides

Re: Stuffing Imminent
Their fans seem to think that they’ll come and try to dominate us. I think 4 or 5 is in the offing tonight if they play those tactics. It won’t be the norm because most teams will sit in.

Maybe be grateful for a win, however it comes. The only target is 3 points. No doubt there will be a convincing win at some point in the season. However the manager and players never get any credit (in the bank) from the moaners. Cardiff for example.

Re: Stuffing Imminent
I like your optimism.
Having watched all our games and seen a few others in the championship, I have not seen a team (yet) that I think is going to smash teams including ourselves.
The team and the Manager have settled into a pattern play that would suggest we are going to very pragmatic both home and away, with the opposition setting up in a similar fashion.
I am expecting a lot of close, low scoring games.

God knows how it's become known as "entitlement" on here to think that we're the best team and should get good results.

Re: Stuffing Imminent
The Cardiff score did not truly reflect the match. For around 25 minutes I thought they were on top and should have led by at least one. Our first goal was the changing point and to concede such a clanger really changed the balance of play. However once we sold three of our top players any so-called "stuffings" went out of the window. Pragmatism is very much the order of the day nowadays.

I don’t think Parker sides do ‘stuffings’ in the general scheme of things, but any win will suffice.

They're not rubbish and won't roll over. They gave Luton a good going over and they're no mugs. (Their manager is **** though!)

I probably wouldn't pin much on what the average football fan thinks.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 5:02 pmTheir fans seem to think that they’ll come and try to dominate us. Re: Stuffing Imminent
And Cardiff have been abysmal. Just 1 point after 7 games and a goal difference of minus 15 is almost unprecedented in Championship history. The last team to register a goal difference of -15 at this stage was Birmingham in 1988/89.CaptJohn wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 5:21 pmThe Cardiff score did not truly reflect the match. Re: Stuffing Imminent
More likely to stuff Preston at the weekend. they are not that good but under estimate Plymouth at our peril as Luton found out they are no mugs and are dangerous on the break. 1-0 win will do for me.

Bar the opening day against Luton before the fire sale we haven’t had a 90 minute performance yet
Re: Stuffing Imminent
Preston it is then

We don't play to stuff anyone. We play, not to get stuffed.

Re: Stuffing Imminent
Them winning 3-0 last night could really work in our favour
Re: Stuffing Imminent
Preston seemed to play a high line last night as Watford had a couple of players clean through on goal. The Shire Claret wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 11:21 amThem winning 3-0 last night could really work in our favour

Re: Stuffing Imminent
Disappointed this thread wasn't stuffing related.
Was interested to see the debate between Aunt Bessie and Paxo.

Re: Stuffing Imminent
I don't know what anyone could have seen from us going forward that would suggest we're going to stuff anyone any time soon, let alone imminently.
