Latest Injuries
Have we had updates on Worrall, Tresor, Flemming & Roberts at all? I won’t lie, I’ve not had time to scour the board to check. Hopefully back soon.

I was just wondering about this.

Re: Latest Injuries
Burnley Express quoted SP as saying that Worrall had an "impact injury " and they'd see how it went.
Flemming slight calf strain.
Don't know about the others.

Re: Latest Injuries
Flemming and Roberts were close to being involved last night, both expected to be fit for Saturday, as is foster

Re: Latest Injuries
I counted 11 injuries/ailments/lack of match fitness from a senior squad of 32. That’s over a third of our players missing and seems huge:
Flemming
Roberts
Worrall
Ekdal
Beyer
Ramsey
Benson
Tresor
Delcroix
Redmond
Egan - presumably not yet match fit if Egan-Reilly having to start out of position
It’s also probably only a GK short of being a decent Championship team in its own right.

Beyer

Benson
Tresor
Delcroix
Redmond
Egan - presumably not yet match fit if Egan-Reilly having to start out of position

Re: Latest Injuries
Add a goalkeeper to that squad and it would certainly give our current team a good game if they were all fitagreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 11:12 amI counted 11 injuries/ailments/lack of match fitness from a senior squad of 32. That’s over a third of our players missing and seems huge:

To accommodate everyone you’d probably have to play 3
Centre backs with Roberts and Delacroix at wing back and Beyer in a midfield role, but I reckon it would be strong defensively and capable of scoring goals.

Re: Latest Injuries
Roberts called up to Wales squad, should be pulled out first thing tomorrow. There needs to be a rule that if a player is injured on international duty and misses all clubs games between international breaks then he cannot be called up in the next squad.

Has anything been said about Delcroix? I’ve not seen any pictures of him at the club since last season. Looked like he was in South America over the summer via his instagram.

Thought Delcroix had said he was due to start training/upping his training this month?

No updates on Redmond, Ramsey or Tresor, I'm guessing they're still not close then.

Re: Latest Injuries
I’d put it slightly different in that he was out of his class at PL level and it is to be hoped he can cope with the big drop in level.burnley007 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 8:40 amIt's an odd one, he seems to have vanished, he's a good player at this level.
My feeling is that he cannot play at his previous standard due to a chronic injury issue. This has happened to many players in the past.
Re: Latest Injuries
Not sure if already posted somewhere else, but saw an image of Benson in a plaster cast yesterday so guess we won't see him for a few months
Re: Latest Injuries
I think the boss said it could be weeks or months for Benson.

To think folk on here were whinging about his attitude & reckoning he wasn`t injured when subbed the other week

Re: Latest Injuries
Maybe its the cynic in me, but does anyone else think Tresor might actually be playing by now had he joined another club in the Summer Window. I hope I am wrong, and that he has been genuinely recovering from a long term illness/injury.
Re: Latest Injuries
I'm thinking the same,I have huge doubts about him and I don't think we will see much of him in a Burnley shirt, he'll be wanting to go in January.I also hope I'm wrongwarksclaret wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 1:07 pmMaybe its the cynic in me, but does anyone else think Tresor might actually be playing by now had he joined another club in the Summer Window. Re: Latest Injuries
SP said that Roberts and Flemming were back in full training yesterday and a decision would be made today, presumably after seeing if they had any adverse reaction to the workout. Didn't really mention anyone else. Ramsey and Redmond aren't in the 25 so we know they won't play again until after the next squad announcement at the end of the January transfer window.

Nor me
Re: Latest Injuries
If he is under 21 Jan 1st 2024 he can play for us without being in the named 25 until 2024-25 season finishes.

Re: Latest Injuries
Burnley Express reporting that Parker said that we will only have Roberts and Flemming back after the international break. We know most are longer term injuries but Tresor was ready to sign for Nice in summer. It can't take that long to get fit. He's not even played minutes for the U21s.
Is he just getting himself in relatively good shape ready for a transfer in January?

Re: Latest Injuries
Must admit i think thats far more likely than him coming back and featuring for us. Same with Delcroix.Cap wrote: ↑Tue Oct 08, 2024 11:34 amBurnley Express reporting that Parker said that we will only have Roberts and Flemming back after the international break. I said on another thread that IMO will will never see Tresor in a Burnley shirt again. He has been the biggest waste of time and money that I can recall.I just hope we can get our money back for him

Re: Latest Injuries
I was told that Beyer is lucky to be walking again let alone playing some while back. That looks like an infected leg which is pretty serious.
Re: Latest Injuries
I've no idea whether it is a foot infection but I had one once. It was due to a condition called erysipelas (don't Google it because the photos aren't pretty to say the least). Started in my foot and was spreading up my leg (the leg is still bigger than the other twenty-five years on). Anti-biotics didn't work and got rushed into hospital. Three-week stay.
However, I'd be surprised if he'd had this.
Must be terribly frustrating for the lad to say the least.

Re: Latest Injuries
I would love to know what the exact injury or illness Tresor had or has. He has been out at least 6 months now. He seemed to perk up quickly when the french club was interested in in during the transfer window. A decision must be made quickly about this guy. Get him playing or get him out.
