Bar 2 years ago. The standard was absolutely woeful when we went up under Kompany
We made up for the quality though. This season none of the top 6 have impressed me. We were phenomenal that season.

Sheff United didn’t look fit enough tonight. Too many greasy chip butties and ‘team bonding’ in the pub. Great for 15 minutes then running on empty. Never looked like getting back into it, just waiting for final whistle for last 20 minutes so they could have a lie down.

They always look a bit overweight and thuggish. Even historically.

Sheffield United doing a carbon copy of us . Absolutely woeful display with no shots. Extremely poor league this season. Probably the weakest the championship has ever been.
How has it suddenly got weaker?

My nephew is a Leeds ST holder and he reckons they will sleepwalk to the title this season, win it by accident.
They will be runners-up... to us.

We will win the league as we will get stronger as our injuries clear up.

+1 for that. At this rate the standard of the league will be "dog and duck" levels by 2030 if it carries on the trajectory of being the worst it's ever been.

I can't be doing with xG and all that nonsense but there is a direct correlation between the cost of a squad and points per game. The most expensively assembled squads are generally found in the upper reaches, with a few outliers.

It'll be two from us, Leeds and Sheffield Utd and then another one or two in the hunt for third. One of them looks like being Norwich to me.

Who that'll be depends on a bit of luck with injuries and who comes knocking in January. If we can resist overtures for Steve and Kole and add a proper sniffer then we'll have a shout.

This gets said every time we're in the championship, and it's nonsense.

It those two are supposedly the best two teams in this division,if we don't finish this season as Champions I will be very disappointed and our season will have been an abysmal failure.

I enjoyed watching this. I thought it was an interesting battle between two good teams that play differently. Sheff U had the upper hand for the first minutes but Leeds improved. In the second half they mostly dominated. Although they created some good opportunities their finishing was awful - until the goal from the corner which was good.

At first I thought that both these sides are better then us but when we played Leeds, although it was backs to the wall stuff at times, we created a lot more opportunities then Sheff Utd. If we can do that against these sorts of teams we can compete.

I tend to agree. I don't see how it can get weaker all the time. It looks much like it did years ago.
