Sounds like the farmer needs locking up.

Which shouldn't bother him in the slightest, because prisons are like holiday camps according to the resident counsellor on here.

I can only presume,
a) you are a scrote.
b) you are the parent of a scrote.
c) both apply.

Eh??

Why?

The bloke says it sounds like someone who takes the law into his own hands, in a possibly violent and dangerous way should be punished..

That makes him some sort of low life?

Get a grip pal....really.

Have you seen the pictures of the low life that sold his story to the Sun? Did you see any bruises on him? I think Farmer Giles was very restrained in what he did. Someone supporting scrotes is a scrote in my opinion.

I don't buy into the premise that people only commit suicide in prison it probably is more likely that they do but it cannot be ascertained what they'd do if they was still alive & out of prison because there are dead. You can't carry any assumptions on with dead people. Dead people are dead people & not accountable once they die.

Way down the leader poll that's required some way to go for the accepted standard. Bobby stepping back to life dallas style & looking exactly into the crystal ball is the way to go. I've spent god knows how many years wandering about lost in life.

Beyond belief.
.
Two young men managed to get tied to an off road bike by an old aged farmer and offered no resistance ?

Then the story gets sold to a dodgy tabloid newspaper.

OK.

He's already a freeman - until he gets sent down. ;)

They weren’t trying to steal anything.

They were driving mopeds on his land and left them there and went back for them in the morning when the farmer assaulted them.
Trespass
Breach of the peace
Illegally altered electric bike
Riding a bike on private property without permission

There's endless minor laws they will have breached.

The people who are concerned about vigilantism should also be championing clamping down on these offences because one leads to the other.

Personally I hope their bike is confiscated and crushed, they are charged with whatever catch-all offence that can be levied at them and that the farmer is able to sue them in a private case

I also hope the farmer gets his just desserts too: namely a strong telling off for his recklessness and an informal verbal caution.

I’m interested in how the farmer managed to tie up two fully grown men.
Did he have them at gunpoint?
I can’t imagine them just standing there and letting him get on with it. Was one just watching whilst the first was tied up?
I shouldn't have laughed but couldn't help myself from doing so.

Some sort of scam going on ?

There are pictures and tabloid newspaper involvement.

If someone was trying to tie me to a bike I would at least put up some form of resistance but these two blokes seem to have done crap all.

It all. seems a bit iffy.

That was my initial thoughts on the matter, but I'm not convinced.

We can be sure of so little these days.

For those wondering how a farmer managed to subdue and tie up 2 young lads, first off you don't mess with farmers they are a different breed and he already had one tied up when he came across the other and did the same to him.
having family in farming I'm on the side of the farmer, people don't understand the time and monetary loss farmers incur when numpties plough up a field they have no right top be on which has been recently sown or is used for livestock grazing, the only things he did wrong imo were driving them to the police station on public roads while not secured to the vehicle and thinking the police would be any help. Those two lads got off lucky there are farmers out there who would have done far far worse to them which we would probably never have heard about had they chosen the wrong farm.

Not all farmers are like that today , before maybe but not since that shooting a few years ago when a farmer shot someone dead trying to rob him....

I never said all farmers were like that but there are some who would have hurt more than just their chavvy pride as in this case.
