There are 3 maybe still 4, lined up together on Storey St, as you go into Borough Market.
I've used them all around there, in recent years. All pretty decent.

Then eat yourself stupid. Had a posh bacon sandwich (amongst other things) last time down, wild boar fried in a wok.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 6:40 pmThere are 3 maybe still 4, lined up together on Storey St, as you go into Borough Market.

They all used to get market workers in too, so kind of keep the pubs grounded.
Can't remember which it is, but l liked the one on the corner of Storey St & Park St.

Probably the market porter. The most popular option for a 6am pintBuxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 11:39 pmYes. The food is good & varied.

Cracking spot. Didn't realise he was a Mackem
Well worth a visit regardless of team.
Hope everyone behaves and enjoyed themselves.

Remember years ago, early 80s when I was Camden based, going to that pub in Smithfield market with the early morning licence.
We used to make it by opening time after we'd left the clubs!

Those were the days!

Fraid so...but he's an honorary Claret. I've been to a few Clarets matches with Peter in tow and not sure we've ever lost when he's been there (most memorably when we beat Stockport in the plsy-off final).criminalclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 1:43 amCracking spot. Didn't realise he was a Mackem

They've had a decent (for football grounds) bar in the ground for the past few seasons. They fenced off a chunk of outdoor space for bar and burger van and so on after you'd gone through the turnstile.
Don't know if that's the North Bar

What a joke getting in, had 5 children with us and had a night in London.
Was told before A4 bags would be allowed in. However even if the bags are emptish and smaller than A4 they exist on measuring the full size.
Ended up putting all the clothes on then outside them taking them off. Was very funny but annoying and ridiculous.
Also it is sit anyway, which is going to cause problems when people turn up later with nominated seats and can't sit together with friend and family. Especially when buying tickets choose their specific seats.
