Coming in peace.
I just want to see the opinion on Parker.
It seems he’s learnt very little from his past three managerial appointments and continues to do the same things.
No tactical nous and doesn’t know when the substitute. Play possession football with no end product. Loses the bigger players and uses the others in weird, random positions.
Doesn’t like making substitutions until it’s too late and seems to just want to play to not concede and everything else is a bonus.
When he first came to Fulham, I gave him time. I tried to see his long term goal, wanting his possession football and passing tactics to succeed, but after half a season of the same, constant mistakes and boring, boring football, I could.
We got promoted in spite of him, not because of him. We should have won the league by a big margin but scraped through the play off. The fact Mitrovic was our best player and he didn’t feature under SP and then went on to break the record for the number of goals scored, shows how poor he is.
So, what’s your opinions so far?

His tactics are negative and the team don’t seem to have any attacking plan at all.
He got a rough hand in terms of the transfer window but he’s getting progressively worse.
I think we’ve made a huge mistake.

Wrong appointment.
His application should’ve been thrown in the bin at the first stage.
We’re going to have to see the season out with him, though.

Re: Fulham fan
It's been an extremely poor start, despite our position and some decent results. Performances have been poor.
Many point to a difficult transfer window in mitigation for him but I don't see the link between these tactics and the large turnover we've had to go through.
It certainly was a disruptive time for Parker to join us but the flip side is we've got the second most expensive squad in the league.

Re: Fulham fan
The football is the worst we've seen in 20 years, but the difference now is we have the 2nd highest wage bill in the league instead of the 2nd lowest.
I really wanted to like the guy but his tactics are absolutely rotten. We've made a mistake and we need to admit it.

I tried to be positive and give him support, however after today enough is enough. He has the worst attributes of Dycheball and Cotterball rolled into one.

There's plenty of evidence that not creating clear cut chances and not creating shots on goal is a real feature of our play under Parker.
It's something that Fulham and Bournemouth fans mentioned too. It's not something that has been plucked from thin air. It's visible in the style of play and in the stats that are accruing at a worrying rate.
Re: Fulham fan
Yep. Although I’m neither a Tarquin or a Rupert, just a local lad who’s been watching them for 30 years.
We all used to say Parker has the best agent in the world. Getting a job at club Brugge after doing an awful job with us and Bournemouth.
Surprised he hasn’t bought in Harry Arter yet either, just to really rub salt in the wounds.

Nobody else wanted the job. He was the only one willing to take it. Turgid football, uninspiring, boring, makes 90 minutes seem like a long time. Stuck with him now, though. We look like a side at the other end of the table with no heart, no direction and most worryingly of all no idea.

Last season went exactly as I thought it would. I said we would go down after the transfer window and I knew we wouldn't compete - we are at a level now with a squad more than capable of being VERY competitive and able to score goals - we aren't showing anything of an improvement and it's really regrettable I feel this way as I like Parker as a bloke, I think he's a decent chap but the football is dreadful and like many others I want to have a bit of entertainment.

It won't be easy, we aren't Burnley Billy Big ******** who should be blowing teams like Millwall away every week. You could tell this was a massive victory for them today.
We need to be gelling better in the final third, This has to improve as the season goes on.

Really? Who do you think were the quality candidates? ( that's what you mean isn't it?). If Parker was that attractive an appointment why did it take so long for it to happen?
We appear to have so many players now that have 'parent clubs' or would likely be off at the first sign of interest from anyone. A bunch of mercenaries with no connection to the club and no likelihood of making one. 12 games in and too many just 'going through the motions'.

You can't prove you are one because you aren't one.
If you disliked Parker so much as a Fulham fan why would you feel the need to register on his new clubs forum years after he left you the day he's just lost a game?

Plenty of managers have a promotion on their CV but I wouldn’t appoint them. I’d have taken Lampard or Van Nistelrooy over Parker.
Even Paul Heckingbottom, in fact.

His football is like watching a training session. No urgency, no commitment to get bodies forward, no flair, no set piece threat, wrong formation, no in game changes, he’s had 2 squads in Bournemouth and Fulham with the highest wage budget in the league and 2 good strikers in both teams. Hes got a great budget in this team but absolutely no striker to pull him out . He won’t last long

So, what’s your opinions so far?
He inherited quite a talented but bloated squad. It was obvious a clear out was needed both to reduce the numbers and because some players were likely to move to the Premier League, along with others that wanted out (long story).
For the first two matches he had practically the pick of the squad. We all enjoyed and were impressed with the first match, a comfortable 4-1 win at Luton. The next game, a 5-0 home win against Cardiff was a strange match - Cardiff played quite well but couldn't score. We got a dodgy first goal and then added four top quality finishes. Despite the odd performance we were happy - two matches, nine goals. Then it went sour.
The clear out began and was deeper then we expected, leading to a group of virtual strangers and a complete re-write of tactics for the away match at Sunderland, which was a 1-0 defeat. Some players came in but they seem to be of lesser quality.
Since then we seem to have a team that is not as good as we hoped, sound defensively, ponderous in moving forward and no real idea how to score. We've picked up points but mostly against the weaker sides. Today we've just lost at a moderate Millwall side who knew how to score against us and knew how to defend against us too ( most teams do). It was too easy for them.
There is some sympathy for Parker and what he has had to deal with but that is slowly being ground out of us.
Things do not look promising at the moment.
Re: Fulham fan
We're playing how I was worried we would play after comments from Fulham and Bournemouth fans.
To add balance, the transfer window was a disaster. To lose the key players we did, at the time we did, completely disrupted the squad and undid the pre -season.
In the striker department, we are useless. I've had enough of foster now. His goal record his terrible and he spends long periods of the season out of form. Jay Rod is past it and the other lad hasn't settled in.
Against Parker, we're slow, boring and predictable. It's like watching England in the euros under southgate. Parker seems a nice enough guy and was a good player but the football is awful.
I'm hoping flemming coming back into the team AS A NUMBER 10, NOT A STRIKER, will get us back in form.

I should add re substitutions, last season we were used to baffling subs that no-one could understand. Parker does generally make good substitutions at the right time. It's just we don't seem to have much quality to affect a game.
