Parker - In or Out
Don’t know how to post a poll but the turgid dross looks like it could be a long winter.
Simple question, are you Parker In or Out at this point?

He’s not going to be sacked thirteen games in.
When it’s obvious we’re not going to be promoted, the board might act.

Re: Parker - In or Out
His interview shows that even he knows its done.
Re: Parker - In or Out
As I posted on another thread, Parker has two promotions on his CV but both teams had strikers who were far, far, far too good to be playing in the Championship. We most certainly do not have that luxury.
From what I've seen and heard, this is it with Parker. Slow passing around the back, nobody allowed to up the tempo because it puts the shape at risk, and we hope that one of the wingers or the striker can create something on his own out of nothing.
Out.

In, but he's on thin ice.
I could forgive some of the stuff served up under Dyche because the results were generally good ( bar his final season), but results now under SP are starting to nosedive.

The board need to be more aware of the financial situation that could present itself if we don’t go back up. I’d hope they’d have an idea what they want to do way before that

Re: Parker - In or Out
Parker ball is a serious downgrade in Dycheball both in entertainment and effectiveness.
Got to give him the chance but I don’t think he is the man to turn us around. Kompany has screwed us over with Al his stupid signings, and that is the real issue
If we don’t go up in the next 2 years then we are going to be bang in trouble.

In. I never expected any different after the exodus actually I expected us to be a lot worse than we are. Thankfully the league is poor & playoffs are up for grabs which is an achievable aim at this point. Chronic underinvestment paying off debts which shouldn't need paying off was always coming back to take centre stage although some heads are buried in sand regarding that prickly thorny issue.

He’s had the rug pulled out from under him so I cannot help but want to give him time, especially when still well placed. See how we look and are playing coming up to the window at end of December - Boxing Day we play Sheffield United and that is as big a marker as you can get. Performances simply must improve though, that is a non-negotiable as far as I’m concerned. The lack of threat is almost unbelievable.

You can’t seriously be enjoying the football on display every single week? It’s not the results. It’s the awful, boring, uninspiring and ineffective football.

Why Boxing Day? What happens if we are 16th on Boxing Day and it’s too late?jedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 5:33 pmHe’s had the rug pulled out from under him so I cannot help but want to give him time, especially when still well placed. I gave him a lot of credit early doors for keeping the ship steady but that today was abysmal I'm afraid. I found scrolling the internet on my phone more entertaining than watching the game.

Do you see each game as a "chance"? I'd say a season is a chance given the squad overhaul and injuries

Re: Parker - In or Out
Out. I’d like to watch us again.
Hate this style. Managed the Hull game. First 10 mins and last 10 mins today. I don’t care what league were in. I want to see goals, or at least chances.

Re: Parker - In or Out
Clearly if we were in that sort of position Pace would load the gun earlier, but as I said we are currently well placed despite the poor performances. Clearly things have to improve but I would be hopeful of giving a manager half a season when we are, as it stands, in the mix still. If it drops off massively and the performances don’t improve then that date should obviously move, it’s just where my mind is at.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 5:36 pmWhy Boxing Day? In. Dealt a shocking hand. Also, I would hate it if we turned into a trigger-happy club that potted managers after 3 months or so. And yes, today wasn't good enough.

Don't like to get on managers back soo early. I'm giving him to after the next international break + a game or 2.
I'm sat here in London bridge with dad and we are well fed up tbh of watching it.
He's got a month at most for me/till I'm done with it.

Re: Parker - In or Out
**** knows
Do I think we will finish in the top two? No chance, I'm fairly confident that Sheffield United will occupy one of the automatic slots and not sure we can finish above BOTH Sunderland and Leeds.
Will giving Parker the bullet mean we are suddenly a different proposition? I'm not sure it will, we are underwhelming and I'm not 100% a new boss makes us a whole lot better.

In if we’re happy with middle table this season. Out if we want to progress. I really want it to work but it’s not getting any better. He won’t get sacked though.
Re: Parker - In or Out
Out
I see absolutely no sign of it improving and I have zero confidence in his ability to improve it. Its truly abysmal to watch and draining belief, enjoyment and hope in equal measure. And after last year when i backed the manager to the end i won’t be making that mistake again.

Re: Parker - In or Out
Would people say our squad (which has been expensively assembled) was better than most of the teams we have played this season?
If the answer is “yes” then ask yourself why we’re struggling so much.
We create nothing.
Opposition goalkeepers have nothing to save.

Re: Parker - In or Out
Im unbelievably underwhelmed by the football (or lack of) on offer. It’s getting worse each week, but I can’t be comfortable sacking a manager after 12 games either.
I actually want someone like RVN who is now available in. It’s a conundrum.

The worrying thing is that while the rest of the league appear to be finding themselves we don't seem to be improving at all.
We appear to be a little inflexible in terms of shape having players we keep shoe horning in. Rather than change the shape we persist with players not suited to it.
The business in the summer has left us short in some areas. We are lacking a full back who can support the wingers. Vitinho would have been an asset in this side. And I don't need to mention the strikers.
Brownhill asked for patience from the fans three weeks ago. And it's got worse. How much patience do we give?

Totally agree that it’s not good to watch but I think he’s been dealt a bad hand and he needs some time. I recall people calling for Dyche’s head early in his time at Burnley.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 5:35 pmYou can’t seriously be enjoying the football on display every single week?
