Anthony's brand of diligent workmanship might be helpful.
Are you really seeing that?
Jumping out of tackles is pretty much the opposite to me.

workmanship??? He doesn't offer anything at either end of the pitch, that is some effort.

I would agree with Tommy Picks....0-0 written all over it....but then I thought the same with Millwall.
The issue is, the opposition can score the one goal, through fluke, good luck, inspired play or whatever...and we simply don't have anyone capable of generating a shot.
A Benson, Foster, Tresor etc is required to step up to the mark with an end product...otherwise
1-0 to West Brom.

I'd play Andy Payton. Probably a better chance of scoring .

Trafford
Roberts - CJER - E Steve - Humphries
Laurent - Brownhill
Sarmiento - Hannibal - Kolesho
Flemming
Flemming straight back in as striker. He's the best option we have to lead the line and we have better depth at no10.
Koleosho out to the left, see if that helps him regain some form.
With Koleosho on the left I think LB needs to be solid defensively, so Humphries retains his place over Pires.
Give Sarmiento a go on the right.
Laurent is performing better than Cullen for me right now so he gets the nod alongside Brownhill.
I am one of those who think Hannibal should generally be played deeper but being way from home against a good side, like at Leeds earlier in the season, I think his disruptive energy further up the pitch can be very valuable, so he gets the nod as a disruptive AM.

From the team that last started I’d like to see Humphreys Houtondji and Koleosho benched for Pires, Flemming and Sarmiento.
That to me would represent a shake up of the starting 11 from last time. That much is needed and it would make Parker seem more progressive than he is portrayed.
I’d settle though just to watch a game where I don’t get all excited when Koleosho gets the ball only to feel a big deflation afterwards

Not really sure what I want any more, but perhaps this:
Trafford,
Roberts, Egan-Riley, Esteve, Pires,
Brownhill, Mejbri, Cullen,
Sarmiento, Flemming, Koleosho.

There's a picture on the training gallery today with parker in a huddle surrounded by 11 players exactly. Don't know whether that's the starting 11, but they are:
Trafford
Roberts
Esteve
CJ
Pires
Brownhill
Cullen
Sarmiento
Anthony
Koleosho
Flemming

Interesting observation, wouldn’t mind this, and at least it would be an extra attacker on the pitch.

Although the 3 behind Flemming I guess could be in a different order.

Noticed Redmond on the photos it would be a massive positive if we could manage to get these two on the bench tonight

I’d be very happy with that. I want to see Pires back in.
Would have preferred to see Hannibal in the holding role with Brownhill, but fine.
The 3 behind Flemming would include an extra attacker and someone with both goals and creativity in Sarmiento.
It’d be a statement of intent and Parker would get a lot of credit from me for that, even if we didn’t get the result we wanted.

I might be wrong but I thought I heard Parker say yesterday he’s only just back on the grass and will be a while yet.

I would imagine that means Koleosho is playing off Flemming if true

The least likely is Anthony, so a toss up between him and Sarmiento.

If we want to score and Hountondji is considered not good enough playing Kolosheo through the middle is worth a punt.
I think he has got to the point where he has to try something like this away to West Brom or he will likely face 0-0 or 1-0 defeat.

I wouldn't mind seeing Koleosho I'm the middle, shock the opposition a bit who will plan to double up on him out wide.
Could cause them problems with his pace through the middle

Thought the same thing regarding Koleosho through the middle, which is why I put him central in the formation above. It would be interesting to see.

This is a fair point, would stop that and could be an interesting experiment. Almost like Parker is edging him further left to delay booting Anthony out as long as possible.
I think Sarmiento has better vision and passing ability than Luca though, so more suited to the 10.
I think that 3 would be fairly flexible though, could mix it up mid-game and could be an exciting trio. They can’t double mark them all.
I can’t see Anthony moving off his favoured left side though.

Just need THB to clip the balls over for him.

If he’s like Tresor’s version of ‘back on the grass’ we won’t see him until next year.

When was the last time we played a League game on a Thursday evening?
I thought it's always only Europa League and maybe Champions League games on a Thursday evening?

Expecting big things from Anthony tonight, after he had the day off on Sunday.
