It’s time for Delta Badhand to show he is not a busted flush, put on his best poker face and pull an ace or two from the pack.

Sarmiento playing as a 10 behind Flemming you would think.

Hountondji looked quite sharp against Millwall, when we started well. Why doesn't he try playing him and put Flemming where he should be. The poor bloke has played left wing and as a forward with no natural number 10. Give him the right tools and he might actually be a goal scorer but we won't find out until he does.

Or up front with Fleming playing the 9.5 role he is good at.

Surely you have to put Laurent in midfield before Cullen he's just far too negative, anyway lets just see how it pans out , if we play with tempo and get at em I'll be happy if it's more of the mind numbing sideways backwards football I'll be going to bed early.

Yeah that's what I mean with central - imagine it would be behind Flemming. 4-2-3-1.

So he’s left out the third midfielder to bring in Sarmiento in a much more attacking line up and still folk complain.
Big step forward for me. Hoping it is Sarmiento right, Koleosho left and Anthony behind Flemming but don’t expect that.

I agree with you, Commy. I thought SP would try them together. Hountondji needs game time but Sarmiento - hopefully - playing close to Zian is promising.

That team is too small to defend set pieces or be a threat at ours. Laurent should be in cm

Cullen keeps the possession going so I can understand him playing , like you say it’s needs to be more forward passes though

We need those three to swap around during the match. Upset West Brom's defence. Especially if they have two men on Koleosho.

Yep, I reckon so. It’s actually quite a brave selection this, but he had to try something because as solid as we have been at the back, we have looked about as sharp as a marble in attack!

Just to clarify the Fleming 9.5 comment.
Spoke to Gary Hunt the lancs commentator the other week.
He told me when he interviewed Fleming, be online some where.
It was Fleming who said he was a 9.5. Not a true number 9 or 10.

So it’s his description of himself.

I like the look of this line up. Pires isn't as defensively sound as Humphries but he's a lot more likely going forwards.

There is an argument for Laurent over Cullen but given that we're playing a good side and we've gone a bit more attacking it makes sense.

Good to see 3 proper Attacking Midfielders in behind the striker.

We're not gonna change to 4-4-2 on a night like tonight and this is about as good as attacking line up as we can realistically muster with square pegs in square holes.

It’s definitely a more attacking line up with the inclusions of Pires and Sarmiento.

I’d still like to see Koleosho on the left, even if it means Anthony drops out, but let’s hope for a positive performance and result tonight.

I have a feeling we might just turn it on.

Sarmiento played through the middle when he came off the bench on Sunday so I'd guess him behind Flemming.

Fleming needs to play behind someone, he himself says he cannot play a number 9!

Might play Koleosho up front to hit them in the counters attack ,there again he might not.you would have thought Laurent was a definite starter tonight.

Mrs Vino and I not going to Goodies in Benalmadena tonight, so watching at home. The starting eleven is a surprise, I just hope we don't play all three wingers on the left wing.
On a serious note, we look a bit weak in midfield which could put too much pressure on the defence. I just just hope we play it forward at a faster pace than we have been of late and show some real desire.

I rate Laurent but for me if they are going to play 2 in midfield he has to take a seat

Cullens off the ball work is vital and we would be in trouble with him not playing tonight with 3 wingers

Personally, I like this line up. It's very flexible up front, and if one thing doesn't work, it's easy to swap around. Anthony and Koleosho, Sarmiento and Flemming.

More confident tonight than I have been recently.

C'mon you Clarets

Trying a little bit more attacking, with players he has, Fleming as a 9 Sarmiento as a 10.. pires to get forward more and support..

Could have kept Laurent in and chanced Cullen out.. feels like he’s searching for a blend to get more shots - chances created
