The referee should have a 2 meter bubble after the whistle has been blown, only to be breached by those they invite in.

That, or issue them tazers...This surrounding is still out of hand.

If we fall over in the box this ref will give us a penalty. He's giving everything.

We're basically not allowed to challenge for the ball without giving a freekick away

Flemming just appears to be obsessed with seeing how many FKs he can give away before hegets booked. Strange display.
E-R is immense.

This ref looks like someone who’s never played the game at any level, he’s just not understanding what is and isn’t a foul

Well, we might not have scored, but we look a lot more of a threat than in recent games. I did say before K O that I liked this lineup.

Let's hope the second half isn't a repeat of the Millwall game. I don't think it will be.

C'mon you Clarets

Egan-Riley is having another outstanding game, his passing over the top is pretty pin point.

We really need to stop giving away silly and stupid fouls however.

I don’t care what anyone says football in the championship is shite

The quality on show in pretty much every game I’ve watched is just crap. (Don’t mean just us)

The gap between the prem and championship has never been bigger

Can we change refs at half time? Might get to watch some football second half.

A lot better than Millwall. But we are completely toothless up top and our set pieces are appalling.

The one by Anthony on a ball the WBA guy was never getting to made my ass twitch.

It appears they've been told to be more physical.

HT. A lively first half with chances at both ends.
We're playing miles better than previous games and some of the negative comments posted on here are a little harsh.

Just look at the rate the ref table

We've had loads of wins and only a few losses with him yet his average is 58 I think

That's **** poor

Half time thoughts

Ref is ****
First 30 mins was much better but gradually forgetting how to play again
Need a focal point up top as flemming ain’t a lone striker and would be more suited to number 10.
CJ fast becoming player of the season so far which is a big surprise. He has been outstanding recently.

I'm loathe to say "better"

"Less bad" perhaps. But it's still frustratingly grim and you know it will almost certainly end 0-0 or 1-0 to Brom. You know there won't be a goal for us unless we get a penalty.

It looks like it's getting the team down too, trying too hard and desperate.

We look more of a threat, some nice movement to get us in good positions first 20. Got scrappy after sarmiento missed and they were on top. First goal wins

Similar to first half at Millwall. Well on top early then West Brom took over. Huge misses by Flemming and especially Sarmiento. Maja should be off. Ref is giving us nothing

It’s frustrating that every team so far this year weve played appears to put a more threatening ball - cross into the box than we do..

6 corners to 1 and their one created more panic than any of ours or at least it feels like it.. EJ Riley looks very composed

Not read the thread tonight yet but half time view:

The child in black has ruined the game, nowhere near this level, they are throwing themselves over at every opportunity, whistle has gone every time (12 fouls vs 2). That foul against Roberts at the end, when he had his arm out for a WBA free kick, that he was told in his ear after was a drop ball instead. Never see a better example of a naive wet behind the ears homer. I fear for the 2nd half.

But I have been very pleased with us. More big chances than in recent games, good energy, enthusiasm, not much creativity but I like Sarmiento’s quick feet. Shame he couldn’t lift his 1 on 1.

Keep this lineup for the upcoming games i’ll be delighted

Some harsh critics on here. Decent half that. 3 or 4 big chances…. Fine margins as the finest manager in most of our living times would say.

Koleosho needs to stop dragging players back. He has done it a few times tonight, again. One near the area where he, luckily, failed.

I was quite happy with that first half.
We are showing a lot more intent. Playing it forward a lot quicker.
Their goalie made a brilliant save to keep it 0 - 0.
I think a few posters on here have had a few glasses of red to many.

He's not attacking enough for me. Sarmiento is providing more of a threat. We need Koleo on the ball more, but in the attacking third.

If there's one thing that this half demonstrates it's that we can probably afford to put an extra attacker in this team in replace of one of the three midfielders. Something many of us have been calling for for a few weeks.

WBA arent any better and have had 5 draws in a row. Don't see why you're so negative when the opposition are just as crap. We're just as likely to scrape it 1-0. fine margins 'n all that.
