Deserved on the number of chances we've had.

Big shout to Hannibal. His perseverance just outside our box led up to that penalty

We have been poor but it’s not harsh on Swansea IMO. They have had a couple of chances but have been garbage.

Undeserved but balanced up the disallowed at west Brom
Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
Sp got out of jail there, would not of liked to be him at the final whistle if it was 0-0

To be clear I meant the decision not the balance of playjedi_master wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 4:56 pmWe have been poor but it’s not harsh on Swansea IMO. They have had a couple of chances but have been garbage.

Fair play to all the Burnley fans who stayed until the end, you deserved to see a late goal.

Parker out, Van Nistelrooy in.

The desire and commitment from the squad is great to see. Another clean sheet to add to the growing collection. There’s a solid foundation here. Get Foster back post international and alongside Flemming then let’s see.

Another decent performance for me, crying out for a proper striker. Hang in there till January. We will be fine. Far and away the better side there

Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
Agyei is just not ready yet to be playing at this level. Its not the first time he has come on with the same impact. That was a poor substitution by Parker-would have been better moving Sarmiento out right and bringing on Hannibal on sooner for Koleosho. Thats the second time Hannibal has come on this week and work his socks off
Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
A deserved win which we finally got over the line. We were a little wasteful in the final third today after getting in some excellent positions.
Props to Hannibal for his desire to make sure we got the right result.

I’ve been as critical as most but they’re definitely putting the effort in and if they could get an early goal it would do them a world of good but once we get into the middle of the 2nd half the composer goes out of the window + we’ve had a higher shot count in the last 2 games.Pity there’s now an international break.

Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
Belgrade is being painted Claret and Blue tonight thanks to Mozzart bet and Jay Rod. Couldn't really tell on my phone if it was a harsh pen or not but it's about time something fell for us.
Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
A real grind, but we got there in the end and the effort can't be faulted at all. Our defensive record and number of clean sheets is out of this world though, so our system and tactics are working in part. We all know where it needs to improve. After this next international break there isn't another one for 23 games, so half a season's games. I'll judge SP after the next 4 months and see where we are in the table and if our performances are better. Then, we'll have a fairer reflection of the future under this guy.

Think the pen somewhat makes up for the WBA disallowed goal

I'm rarely critical of players, but Agyei is not good enough at this timewarksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 5:07 pmAgyei is just not ready yet to be playing at this level. Hopefully Jay's confidence will have been lifted and may pave the way for him and Fleming to play some part together soon. Not a lot went Fleming's way today

Could some of the negative boo boys tell us what else we needed to do today. they could maybe put some tactics together and email them to Scott parker. I don't get it. Played some good football at times today, more attacking, we obviously went for it

I don’t see any poisonous comments in here.
Really what you are saying is there are comments which you disagree with, but cannot find a way to articulate your point so you are just throwing out the usual attack line in an attempt to discredit anyone who is not happy with how we are performing.

Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
Lucky to get all three points, another very average performance without a plan and lacking any team identity. Parker is a very lucky man to escape severe criticism, yet we are still fourth which shows the overall poor quality of this league. Promotion? We have one player who could adapt to the PL and that is Esteve.
Re: Burnley v Swansea MATCH Thread
The penalty wasn't fortunate, no idea what he was doing with his hand in that position.

That’s the point, Parker will never play that team. I hope I’m wrong.
We got lucky with a penalty, it just papers over pretty obvious cracks.

People keep using nonsense buzz words like "identity" what do you mean? Or is it just an attempt to seem smart?
It's clearly a strong defensive side, that plays from out wide. Not sure what else people are wanting to see.
Put a decent striker in that side and it's a top side
