Re: JBL
Without question.
Can’t believe you’ve asked it, Vegas. He was our top scorer last year and very good player.
Anthony has looked better on the right but he could still play left or run JBL through the middle. Would score more goals than Flemming in that position, I’d bet.
Would also be good cover for a few of the loanees who may return to parent clubs if we don’t get back up (we’ll lose Flemming, Sarmiento and Anthony I think?)

Re: JBL
When Redmond returns we have Redmond, Koleosho, Sarmiento and Anthony for wide players who can also play through the middle. Benson for a few minutes if he returns this season. Not sure another is needed unless Koleosho is sold in January.
Re: JBL
Massive yes from me. A wide but central kind of attacking player (Tella like movement) would add more intelligent running into the box and offer more vertical line breaking movement in general. Plus, he’s shown he can score at a higher level if we get there, and loves the club (as per his insta comments in the summer).

Re: JBL
No brainer. He scored goals in the prem in a poor side. We need goals now.

Fosters scored at a higher level, but apparently he's shiteRVclaret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:04 pmMassive yes from me. Re: JBL
I would have him back in a heart beat,he is good on the ball, can move it quick and can get a shot away, he is a class above some of our players at the moment.

While I accept some of the comments above about having players in those areas, I think it’s about that little bit of quality you can bring to a game.
Amdouni and JBG smash two in from distance vs Cardiff, for example. Thats the type of extra 5% we need to turn draws in to wins.
On the face of it you don’t think he’s that much better than what we have but that extra 5% makes a big difference to whether you win or lose games.
Need that type of upgrade in a few other positions as well.
Re: JBL
Thought (and hoped) that Anthony was an option rather than an obligation. Was reported as an obligation at the rumour stage bit option at the point of confirmation was my understanding.
At the reported £10m I really hope it's not an obligation, isn't worth a quarter of that.

Re: JBL
Given most of his mates demanded to leave us I doubt he would be keen on returning, I would personally do some horse trading and free up 2-3 spots and bring him in, he is class, but we have a new manager, new squad, new system - it won’t happen.
Re: JBL
We don't have much strength in depth in the wings at the moment with Benson and Tresor out. Some competition for Koleosho and Anthony would be massive, I'd have him back in a heartbeat. He's better than what we have.

I guess if there is unlimited money and no chance of bagging a forward then you might consider it.

Re: JBL
Forgot all about him in the mass exodus.
Yes would have him back and starting on the right no questions asked.

Re: JBL
Absolute no brainer if the opportunity to bring him back ever came. Koleosho isn't living up to expectations from the start of last season, and Sarmiento seems to struggle fitness wise. As great as it is to have Agyei as the youngster coming through, the area wea really lacking is the top end.
JBL can find the goal. We currently cannot.
