Although the last paragraph made me wonder if RVN is still able to play...?

Parker remains in the dugout at Turf Moor and though the report claims he'll likely be given time by Clarets' owner Alan Pace, although Van Nistelrooy remains an option should they continue struggling in front of goal.

His stock has risen after beating Leicester twice at home and PAOK once at home.
With those wins on his CV he will probably have Pep looking over his shoulder.

Re: Parker out rudd in
Owner Alan Pace is well-known for giving managers time, as he has done with Sean Dyche and Vincent Kompany.
So it seems unlikely he will axe Parker just yet.

It looks like you can just upload an article to some sites and claim to be a journalist

Re: Parker out rudd in
I managed a better article using ChatGPT...
The Burnley fan community on forums like **UpTheClarets** shows a mixture of skepticism and tentative support for Scott Parker's role as head coach. While his efforts to apply his previous successes—particularly in gaining promotions with Fulham and Bournemouth—are acknowledged, there’s growing concern over Burnley’s recent struggles, particularly in the attack and offensive strategy. This has led to calls for strategic adjustments, as many feel that Parker's conservative tactics stifle the team’s potential, with users pointing to matches where Burnley struggled to maintain momentum and deliver shots on target.
Some fans speculate that if Parker can’t turn around the season, Burnley may need a fresh approach. Suggestions on potential replacements include coaches who blend strong leadership with a progressive, offensive-minded strategy. Names like Ruud van Nistelrooy, known for his disciplined and attacking philosophy, come up frequently. The sentiment leans towards someone who can adapt to the Premier League’s demands and deploy Burnley’s attacking assets more effectively.
Ultimately, while Parker retains some backing, the fanbase feels that improvement is needed. If results don’t improve, speculation about alternatives will likely increase, with fans hoping for a coach who can inject energy into Burnley’s play and help the team rediscover its competitive edge.

Football journalists at the Sun are RUDDy clueless

Sounds like a lot of nonsense. I’m not sure he even applied or was interviewed for the job.

To think, that publication also has political influence.

I think Parker knows more about Footy than Antman Paul Rudd....

Parker will walk in January when key members of the squad are sold to West Ham and Spurs.

Re: Parker out rudd in
I find this stuff a bit weird. We are (subject to Leeds tonight) second in the league and a defence tighter than a ducks backside. Why would any board in their right mind sack a manager who is doing his job remarkably well?
Just out of interest (and I’ll leave this one to the Googlers) when did a manager ever get sacked whilst in second place in the league (any league). Forget Celtic and Rangers because second is failure for either of those.

Just incredible, I dont think the people who post these threads actually go to games. Parker has/is doing an incredible job clearing up the mess left by VK. After the worst season in memory last season Parker is slowly developing us into a real force.

Re: Parker out rudd in
Just my opinion but I think if Parker had been our manager in the PL last season, with exactly the same squad, we would defensively have performed better and finished with more points than 24. Oh and the team spirit would have been such that his assistant or some of the better players would not have been desperate to leave. As I say just my opinion

I would have thought second for Nelson would be quite an achievement. Any specific circumstances? Seems odd.

Wow yeah I forgot about that one. Still it is City and these days second is failure for them I suppose.

Didn't Steve Kean have the Venkys 2nd in their first season after relegation (2012?) And got sacked?houseboy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:31 amI find this stuff a bit weird.
