TBH it takes a special sort of idiotic moron to boo a national anthem, for what 60 seconds or so to keep your loud mouthed ignorance is beyond some cretins. I've no problems with national anthems as you are representing your country, what's the alternative holding up pictures of national images, Big Ben, Bucking Palace the Lake District?

Theres 90 minutes plus for booing the opposition ... Booing an opponents National Anthem is the height of "Moronic Imbecility"

I have literally no idea why Kane is starting over Watkins?! Ireland were always going to go with 11 behind the ball and as such your striker has to play on the shoulder of the last man, and Kane is slower than my Nan!!!

Boring game enlivened by a crazy ref and some awful discipline from England.

Interesting that blatant shirt pulling by a defender inside the penalty area is no longer a penalty…

Teams putting everyone behind the ball are killing football. I have found I am losing interest in it as I find it very boring now. Even golf is becoming more exciting now as they hit the ball forward  .

Giving youngsters a chance, playing positive football, attacking at speed. It's just mules ahead of the dirge Southgate offered.
Tuchel has a great platform to build from.

A well done to Carsley, who definitely wouldn't have been my choice for a caretaker manager.

Got to gave a lot of credit to the FA around how they have used Carsley and his experience of the England set up to bridge the gap between Southgate and the new manager. Allowing Carsley to oversee us winning our Nations League group and let Tuchel focus 100% on the World Cup looks like a masterstroke in retrospect now despite some of the media sniping.

Also the added bonus of Carsley blooding some youngsters who in two years might have a part to play is not to be overlooked and was one of the things Southgate did so well in his first 12 months which served us well in the later tournaments

The modern style of play can also be very boring. An ex pro I know has given up watching. My cousins grandson is at Manchester City. He told me they have a coach for every single aspect of not only their play but their lives.

Amusing seeing some of the media wax lyrical about Carsley and the work he's done, the platform he's leaving for Tuchel

He's only been able to do that because of Southgate but the media don't seem to want to mention that

Good work though over the last few games
The future is bright for England and may well continue to be so if he carries on with what he's done for the u21s

The majority of pundits all seasoned pros with international experience shared the same views re Southgate, did great galvanising a team spirit, got us far in competitions with a mixture of talent, luck and easy draws but ultimately he failed by being to cautious.

Yep. GS did exactly that over 8 years, 2 finals a semi final, but “failed” apparently.

Carsley and Southgate have put England in a very good place, Tuchel has a platform to build on.
