He knows exactly what he's doing. He's the master of getting the ball and then absolutely clatrering the player on the follow through
He's probably getting some coaching tips on the art of tackling from his future father in law.

I was thinking there was a lot of Burnley connections apart from Trafford.

The biggest c oc k up of the lot not signing him. And despite what some might say on here he wanted to sign for us and we wanted him.

Now the “in knows” will come on and say differently !

Or the ones with “spies” down at Barnfield :)

He wanted to come to Burnley. His mum and dad joined the Benalmadena Clarets to watch a Burnley game towards the end of our promotion season. Believe me he wanted to join us.

"It's not done and dusted yet" said Keane (tongue in cheek) - you gotta love him!

Very much a missed opportunity I think.

He is one that is finding his feet at PL level and might well might turn out to be one of those who straddle that line of being too good for this league but not quite good enough at that level, but I would have paid the 15m for him and skipped over bedding in O'Shea, Worrall and Egan Riley, as well as the latter has done.

It's bob on that he wanted to come, his mum and dad wanted him here as well. That we didn't just pay the fees for him and Tella, players that had done the business, had a lot of room to grow with uss and actually enjoyed the club, not just the status and wage, and ending up with the likes of Magic Mike, Amdouni is heartbreaking. I hope our transfer committee have reflected and learnt from that cause it's an all time monumental cock up.

How we didn't choose him over O'Shea is a total mystery.

Much as I agree with the above sentiments. I suspect THB wouldn’t have made a difference for us defensively last season, that was tactical as much as anything, and I also suspect he would have asked to be on his way this season after his hero Kompany jumped ship.

Tella felt a bit different. He may have made a difference last season.

More relevantly, well done Taylor for tonight.

Very pleased for Taylor - he was a great lad and will always be remembered for his role in our superb title winning side of 22/23.

I do think, in hindsight, VK got it right re O'Shea - well, for how we wanted to play anyway (higher line), but THB would have been great in this side right now and is captain material.

If there was a deal to be done for THB at a decent price well, then we messed up.

At least he's managed to get one over tonight on his soon-to-be Father-in-law.
